Great addition to the RV

This is a great addition to the RV as it provides a nice non-slip surface to the otherwise slippery metal step. The only thing that precluded a 5-star rating is the springs that are used to attach the cover. While they did snap into place easily and they hold the carpet in place while parked, they are made of relatively thin wire and look like the will probably rust quickly and are unlikely to retain their holding power over time. I will replace the springs with some zip-ties so there is no possibility that the step cover can be blown off while travelling down the road... time will tell whether the carpet itself hold up or becomes a slipping hazard in the winter with freezing temps and snow. But for now, it is a great improvement to the existing step into the trailer.

Better for dog’s feet and mine!

4 year Update: We have replaced these 3 times in 4 yrs with constant use and will be replacing again soon. I still recommend but they get tired after about a year. If you don’t use them as much you’ll definitely get more life out of them! My husband and I are full timers and this is the best upgrade to those basic style RV steps! Our steps have cut outs to create grip but they hurt your feet when barefoot. We also have a dog that was having a horrible time using the steps but no more! He is older so he can even see them better at night whereas he could not see the black steps in low light before. We have a slight curve to our steps so we bought the smaller pads so they wouldn’t bow out on the edges and they worked out fine. I recommend buying the smaller ones anyway because they are plenty wide and there is no need to pay more to cover the whole step. My only complaint is that they get soaked after our heavy afternoon rainstorms in the summer months so it takes them a while to dry out. Honestly, it’s worth walking on damp pads sometimes just so the dog can be happy! I can see the fabric wearing out and fraying eventually from sweeping them off but I think will hold up a long time. This is one of those easy and affordable upgrades that make a big difference. Highly recommend!

Quick install, much softer than metal steps, and reduce dirt

I have a Jayco Jayflight 36' trailer. There are 3 steps, the top step is deeper than the other 2 steps but the wrap still covers it. You can see the difference in the wrap with the steps pulled up/in. There is also a handle on the middle step. I was able to easily apply these covers over all 3 steps. The grommets do not show on the top or sides of the steps. The rugs can be adjusted so the handle isn't obstructed on the middle step. Our steps are 19" wide, and the carpet steps are 18" wide, so there is a bit of metal showing on each side. The carpet is smooth/slick so it is a bit more slippery than I anticipated. This is not your circa 80's astro turf like I have seen mentioned in other posts. This is a marine/outdoor grade carpet.

Think Twice!

I loved the concept of this product; however, I did not realize the cover can and will move (even on the tightest fitting. Also, the cover itself is not rigid/rough enough to prevent sliding for all shoe sole type. I will be returning them unfortunately

Fantastic product

Bought 2 of these for a friend who recently purchased a camper with metal grated stairs. She is over the moon happy with how well the product works. Installation was fast and easy. removes in a flash for easy cleaning, just give it a shake or a quick brush and poof, clean. Well made and price is great.

Keeps dirt away from in side of the camper

I like how easy it was to put on. We put it on the first step, which keeps the sand and grass from entering inside the camper. I will buy more for the other two steps. Thanks

Fits the stairs very nice. Easy to install. Helps keep dirt and gravel from getting tracked into the trailer. Ordered a second one for the second step.
