Good choice

bought this to sew into a robe for my ghostface costume last year. worked out pretty well and the fabric is flowy but not too thin or sheer and it dragged along on the floor when i wore it (5'3/4 female for reference) but wearing a belt over it and pulling at it to make the torso baggier was an easy fix

Great for the money!

Couple this outfit with a pair of skeleton gloves and a full head rubber skull (especially one with a moveable jaw) and you've got a near film-quality outfit! I used an hour-glass instead of a scythe for a hand prop (The scythes look too corny and are cumbersome anyway) ---Retired Propmaster

It's OK for my son's Grim Reaper costume

TLDR; It's ok, about what I expected, adequate for trick or treating, or if you aren't too picky. The fit is a little bit slender. The face screen isn't the best and might be too hard to see thru at night. The big flowy sleeves are cool, and the extra layer / cowl around the shoulders is a nice touch. I got this for my 11-yr old son. He is 5'8" and 115 pounds (tall, slender). The adult medium fits pretty well with a little length to spare. The fit through the body is straight and not as roomy as expected. It's stretchy but if you're concerned about it being more fitted than you want, maybe size up. My main complaint is the the face screen inside the hood - it's a bit weird. It's attached with velcro which is: A) too close to the front of the hood, making for a less convincing shroud - makes it hang funny and you can see it too well inside of it being hidden in the shadow of the hood; B) they did the velcro so the scratchy side is in the hood instead of the screen. If you wanted to detach the screen, which is doable but would require a small cut where it's attached at the bottom left, you would be left with the scratchy velcro in your hood. It its at the very forward edge so it would be ok but a little annoying. C) The velcro, especially when the screen is in place and it's two layers thick, makes the shape of the hood a bit bumpy. It does give it a little structure though. I'm going to try ironing it to make it smoother. I'll attach a pic of it before we ironed it. The scythe was purchased separately, and we also got some skeleton gloves. My son likes it. Happy haunting.

i ordered the XL just in case, cuz i'm a plus size baddie, but i'd probably been fine with just an L. its good though, and comfortable to wear!

Perfect Fit

Fantastic, high quality item.. Typically around this time of year you see lots of made-in-china costumes that have next to zero quality control...in fact, next to zero quality at all. They are usually made to last maybe an hour or two at the most and really will fall apart at the slightest provocation. This is not one of those costumes. The material is lightweight but not shoddy, and more importantly is not so thin that you can see right through it under normal lighting. Oh sure, against a high contrast background with high-lumen stage lights it's probably going to look thin...but under regular circumstances this is a really spooky costume. The fit is pretty much right on and the sizing given for the XL aligns perfectly with my jacket size, height, and weight. The facemask in particular is very good - you can see through it pretty well, and people cannot see your face (again, under normal light). I suppose if someone shined a bright spotlight in my face then the illusion would be ruined, but given a big enough scythe and a good creepy swagger to your step, no one is going to come near you anyway. Honestly, I was kind of expecting yet another el-cheapo costume, but this one pleasantly surprised me. It's very good.

Having fun!

Chosen Halloween outfit for my son and he is already having fun with it. He has two scythes we got for him, and I did have to adapt the length as it is very long, but a few gathers and tucks make it look even better on him.

This was a rushed purchase before Halloween. I am 6' 3" and it was the perfect length. The hood is great as it covers your face but you can still see well enough through it, even in a dark environment. The material is good quality and strong and it was packaged nicely in a clear plastic wallet type bag. Overall great product

Very convincing grim reaper costume!

Perfect for what I needed, which was a dark/creepy grim reaper costume. The vale hid my face perfectly and was really easy to breath inside of. The vale velcros onto the hood and is fairly easy to remove/re-add when needed. Very happy with my purchased and I'll likely use this again next halloween!
