Great compressor

The compressor itself is really nice and quiet. I haven't put it through a real test. I mainly used it to air up tires and clean tools (chainsaw, mower, weed eater) so I can repair them. My only complaint is often it has to refill but that is probably due to how I used it. I don't remember the pancake style needing to refill as often. Even still I really like the compressor and I'm proud to own it. The price is perfectly matched.

Quiet and high quality

I talk louder than it at a normal inside level and it hits a good 120-125psi, strong enough to run my impact wrench and take wheels off or turn things righty loosey.

Quiet and maneuverable. Packaging needs improvement.

I just couldn't stand the noise of my Porter-Cable anymore. This is indeed quiet. I measured 62+/-1 dBa at a distance of 1 meter. Easy to work near it without hearing protection or annoying the neighbors. The packaging needs improvement. You can see from the photos that it needs better packaging to deal with handling/shipping. Fortunately, there was no damage to the unit itself. Unfortunately, Amazon was wrong when they said the unit was made in Mexico. It is made in China. I was thinking to get a Hulk by Emax, which is 45 dBa, but it is significantly more expensive.

Amazing compressor

Although I always prefer to use compression over battery; I never do because I can’t stand how loud they are. California air tools makes really solid quality products. This compressor is no exception. I used this to power a floor nailer for hardwood install and regular 16/18 gauge nailers for trim. Overall no drops in pressure, easy to use gauge, SUPER quiet comparatively , and overall just a great machine. I definitely recommend and would purchase again.

Extremely quiet

Worth the price and then some, not a high total psi but a quiet climb.it’s a trade off. To reach 150psi like the normal regular air compressors it takes a certain level of torque and with that noise, unless price is of no concern. Can operate at night time anywhere with no anxiety of being to loud. Absolutely love mine

California Air Tools 8010 Steel Tank Air Compressor

I replaced my last 8 gallon compressor with the California Air Tools 8010 Steel Tank Air Compressor and what a positive difference. I live in an apartment building and would always dread powering up my old compressor because of the noise and being that realy loud tenant. I was very surprised to discover that my wife and I were able to carry on a normal volume conversation with the California Air Tools 8010 Air Compressor powered up. I anticipated it taking longer to fully pressurize but it did not take long at all. This turned out to be an excellent choice to replace my last compressor, and so far I am very happy.

If you want a really SILENT air compressor, try Silent Aire's Sil-Air, which this is replacing. Essentially, Sil-Air uses a refrigerator compressor, which is described on You Tube. Yes, this compressor is "noisier", but wouldn't drown out a conversation, fills in a few minutes and is about 1/3 the cost of a Sil-Air. AND this California compressor is oil free, which is great when I inevitably tip my compressor over by accident. Its size is the perfect combination of portable/stationary. It's got an unusual lever as on/off switch, but it works fine. It does heat up, but the fins radiate it fast. It's packaged in a carboard box with a few pieces of Styrofoam, which compresses when crushed. Clearly, this unit was dropped hard in shipping at least once, but it's undamaged and works out of the box no problem. Bolt on the wheels and air filter and you are in business. PS If one is using air tools, I should be wearing hearing protection anyways. :)

Really expensive here in Canada

You can purchase these units for much less elsewhere, I just don't get why they are so pricey here. Otherwise it is very quiet and mine hasn't blown out any flames due to the crankshaft rubbing on the conductors yet. I will keep you posted on durability. Overall, I'm satisfied So Far!

Compresor Mala Calidad

Producto que no me funcionó, el proveedor me dice que se rebazo los 30 días (lo cual no tenía conocimiento), antes no tuve la necesidad de utilizar el compresor por que aún no llegaba la unidad dental (se demoró), por lo tanto les digo que me estafaron, un producto que no funcionó y ahora tengo que pagar para que revisen un aparato o equipo NUEVO, muy mal servicio de parte del PROVEEDOR. No lo recomiendo

Compresor ultra silencioso. Perfecto un taller en casa.

Excelente producto, es increíble el poco nivel de ruido que genera. Perfecto para mis necesidades de uso con pistola de clavos y pintura ocasional principalmente.

Lo hemos conectado a una unidad dental con algunas adaptaciones y funciona de maravilla, suficientemente silencioso, inclusive para tenerlo dentro del mismo consultorio, hasta ahora todo bien.
