Good craftsmanship but...
It arrived in good shape. A 8-12 cup flat bottom basket filter fits nicely. No marks or dents and each piece fits well into each other. Update: After making a pot I was seriously disappointed. The water runs through so fast that the finished product is super weak. I mean light brown coffee weak! I'm returning this. I was hoping it would work out but even my wife, who likes weak coffee said it looked like dirty water and could barely taste the coffee. My advice, buy a used American made one on a market place site.

85.00 for item with crimps & scratches
In America our standard 1 cup measures 8 oz which means this pot holds 8 cups at most due to the dropped design filter system into the base and returned as the item had crimps or dents and scratches but shall try ordering another when the price drops, and hope it arrives with less defects.

Very nice
This is a nice drip pot. Very fine quality. I don’t like the fact that you get coffee grounds in your coffee using it the way it’s intended so I put a filter in. I wasn’t sure it would work but to my surprise it did! I get the commercial size filter. You can’t get coffee with this kind of flavor any other way. Drip pots are the best. Perfect coffee! Obviously it doesn’t stay hot for several cups but I have a butler I pour it into.

Not thrilled with this pot
Judging by my experience with my grandmother's smaller version of this type of drip coffeepot, this larger pot does not have a deep enough coffee ground holder area and the top and bottom parts of the pot do not fit together well. They have to be maneuvered carefully to fit together properly as they should slide together readily, which they do not. If you do not have them together properly when making coffee, you could easily get burned! The coffee flavor is marginal. So I am not thrilled with this purchase.

It works wonderfully, just be careful because to top piece does ...
I have an old drip coffee maker and have used it solely for over a year. My husband likes to use it for camping and we needed a second one so that I wouldn't be without coffee when he and the boys were gone. It works wonderfully, just be careful because to top piece does not fit tight at all and will separate when attempting to pick it up. My old one has a missing handle on the bottom, but the top piece fits tight so I used to always leave it on when pouring coffee. I never got burnt because I discovered this when I was exploring my new coffee pot.

Perfect Old Fashioned Drip Coffee Pot
We and our weekend guests woke up in our all electric home with a post-thunderstorm power outage, that ranged county wide. The prospects of having morning coffee, (without getting dressed and driving into the next county) were slim to none, but thanks to this old fashioned coffee maker, (and a tea kettle set to boil on our liquid propane gas grill) coffee was served piping hot, and thoroughly enjoyed by all. I've bought another one for the summer house. The guests (all city folk who never, ever lose power) were absolutely amazed at my coffee making ability without electricity...(?)... This coffee pot is very well made, and is quite pretty in an old fashioned way. We originally bought it for camping, but it has gotten plenty of use at home, too.

Beware of fit between parts!
The products central section is off spec. in that its is smaller in diameter than it should be. This caused the lid to fit so tight my wife cannot open it and the basket (center section) is very loose in the base section. I have an older coffee pot that is the same model , except the fit between parts is correct. Thanks Mark Maggi

The best way to make coffee with no power.
We have used this type of coffee pot for years while camping so I was thrilled to find a new one on Amazon. (The old aluminum one sprung a leak). These pots make great flavored coffee quickly and efficiently when no electric power is available. Highly recommend!

Low quality for the money.
Not working well for coffee, may be better for tea. Drip holes generally too large to brew coffee sufficiently, returned the pot.
