Nearly impossible to detach from packaging but worth the effort

Whoever attaches this product to the cardboard packaging needs to leave more space to get a pair of scissors through the plastic tie. I was worried I might damage the bowl trying to get it detached from the cardboard. The plastic tie is so short I had to rip the two-ply cardboard apart (one ply at a time) before I could begin to wedge a pair of strong scissors into the tiny space to cut the tie. Once getting it detached the bowl is great. Actually does fit 5 cups if you fill it to the rim. Plenty of room for my German Shepherd to drink when we’re on an adventure.

It is a water container and it is sturdy

It is a water container that folds out. Made out of a nylon covered sturdy material . It gets 3 stars because it can lose its shape fairly easy, it does not fall open or anything but just a little push by the dog and the dog pushes out quite a bit of water. I would not be putting this in your house as a substitue water bowl but awesome for Camping Long Walks Car Trips etc It cleans easy... My suggestion is to get your dog acclimated to it by introducing it in your home before taking it out so the dog can get use to it. It obviously has a nylon texture/ plastic texture to it so it may take a moment to get your dog interested. Mine ignored it for a while until he realized it was his only chance to get water and he eventually got use to it. Good product.

This is the best portable dog bowl I have used! It is made of a thick, but flexible plastic, whereas other bowls are often made of nylon or another more flimsy synthetic fabric. Because the plastic is very water resistant, when my dogs are done drinking when we are out on a walk I can just dump the extra water out and the bowl is mostly dry (and so I can put it back in my backpack without worrying about getting other things wet). I also like that it has a snap so that it won't come unfolded while it is stored away. When you fold it up it is very light and compact, so you don't really have to worry about it taking up necessary space in your backpack if you are taking a long walk or hike. Oh, and most importantly, the only way this thing will leak is if someone pokes a hole in it with a knife (or their teeth). Also, one of my dogs is (strangely) extremely picky about water bowls. This bowl has his seal of approval.

Doggie travel bowl

This is a must have for the dog owner on the go. In our local doggie run, there are bowls located throughout the run, filled with water. I've often wondered how clean those bowls are, not to mention the water. I always take our own bowl and water, but I still want my hands free to control my dog. This travel bowl is a great idea. It's light weight and easily folds to a convenient size. It has a snap closure, so you can attach it directly to a belt, or the dog's leash. It can easily be folded and put in a pocket ... preferably prior to being used! Once home you can easily wash it, or wipe it clean. I would recommend that you let it air dry before you close it up for your next trip. I keep my doggie travel bowl in the car, so I don't forget to take it!

I absolutely love this bowl!

I absolutely love this bowl! It is so small when it folds up, it is easy to carry around with us, and handy that it can snap around our leash. Unlike the water bottle combo set I had from Petco, it doesn't leak either since there is no water in it when not in use. It's base is flexible yet sturdy enough that I can put water it in for my dog and set it on the floor of the car for long car trips - it won't spill or slide on the floor mats. It is also easy to grip even with one hand if it isn't too full, and I can reach around from the passenger seat to pick it up for her if I need to even when we are driving. My dog doesn't like bowls that are closed tighter at the top, so this works very well for her since it is so open.

Excellent Water Bowl for Walking and Travel

Best portable water bowl I've found. No problems after one year of heavy use due to its high quality. It folds small enough to fit in the pocket of my water bottle carrier, however I just snap it around the shoulder strap and the snap is as strong as when new. After a year of walking shelter dogs of all sizes and breeds multiple times per week there are no holes or problems. Highest recommendation

I love this bowl!! I have a 60 pound pup and this goes with us whenever we leave the house. It never leaks and holds enough water for my dog that if we're spending the night somewhere, I can fill it up once or twice a day (depending on how hot it is) and don't have to worry about it. I had one for almost three years, used it for about half the week every week and it finally dry rotted (or something) and sprung a slow leak, but because of the price, convenience, and longevity, I purchased another.

Perfect for on the go.

Love these bowls. Fold down to a small size and fit into a small space. Have been buying them for over 10 years. Have tried others but they just don’t match up. Easy to wipe dry so no leaks or drips into bag.

Fits into a pocket so handy to take on walks. Delivery took a very long time though (4 weeks) as it comes from USA which I wasn't aware of until after I'd ordered it.

Great purchase!

I bought 2 of these for summer camping however it seems like they are already coming to good use for car rides or trips to the dog park. They feel quite durable and folding them in after filling it with water is very easy. The material is easy to clean and if any sand gets in they are very easy to rinse out. They fold into the size of a small hand which is perfect for keeping in the car or my girlfriends purse when we go on longer walks. It has been a hit at the dog park and multiple people have asked about where i got it due to its convenience. Be aware they are pretty light so dogs can easily pick them up and thrash them around if they feel like it.

Best bowl ever!

Easily holds 3 cups of water with no problems, sturdy material means it doesn’t collapse either. Picture has over 3 cups of water in the bowl. Both my dogs drink from it and the best part is not having to dry it thoroughly. The material is like a wet bag, so even if it’s left a bit damp there’s no smell and it dries pretty fast too. Had it for almost 2 years and I never travel without it.

Langlebig und vollkommen dicht

Ich habe die erste Hydrobowl vor 11 Jahren in England gekauft, seitdem hat sie als Wassernapf treu und brav ihren Dienst erfüllt und sieht noch aus wie neu. Nachdem ich sie hier bei Amazon zu einem akzeptablen Preis woeder gefunden habe habe ich mir noch eine zweite als Futternapf bestellt. Für mich der perfekte Trekkingnapf, leicht, dicht, klein zusammenfaltbar. Es passt übrigens 1l Wasser in die Medium Größe, dann ist der Napf bis auf etwa 1 cm zum oberen Rand gefüllt.
