Non functional from the get-go
A couple of issues: First, the packing job sucked. The pump was basically just thrown into a box with some random wadded up paper. The motor had clearly shifted from its mount on the tank; whether due to rough handling or poor assembly is unknown. Second, contrary to the Q&A response, the inlet pipe is 1-1/4" not 1". The discharge ports are 1" ip. I say ports - plural - because there are tees at both the top and bottom of the tubing connecting the pump discharge to the tank and a 1" threaded plug is provided to close up the one you don't want to use. Third, it does not come with a power cord or wiring instructions. Not rocket science to put on a cord but also not clear how how to rewire it for 230v. Besides, it would have been nice to know before ordering that a cord was required. Fourth, there is no on/off switch. It's either plugged in/wired hot or it's not running. Fifth, the priming port is minuscule. It took forever to fill the pump through the tiny hole. Sixth, the connection to the pressure tank is braided vinyl, not the braided stainless steel you typically find on most rigs. How well it would hold up over time in the sunlight is questionable. I don't intend to find out. Finally, there was no manual at all. Nothing about precaustions, wiring, adjusting the pressure switch, limitations, troubleshooting. It appears that this was a returned pump and was simply sent back out without any QA. When I finally got the necessary bushing to adapt my 1" inlet pipe to the 1-1/4" suction and plugged in the motor, it immediately emitted a horrendous screech. Sounds like the impeller is rubbing badly on the volute, although it may be a motor problem. Regardless, it immediately pumped out the water in the pump and lost suction. I am pumping from a river through a 60 foot long 1" hard plastic inlet pipe with a pre-filter on the pump and a foot valve on the river intake. Total suction lift is about 10 feet - well within the advertised 25' capacity. Although I filled the inlet pipe before connecting it (and confirmed that the foot valve was holding) the pump simply couldn't maintain a suction. All threaded intake connections were made with Teflon tape thread sealer and the inlet pipe barb was fastened with a hose clamp to eliminate any air leaks. I didn't dare continue running the pump for very long because of the noise - I didn't want to do any permanent damage because this turkey is definitely going back.

So disappointing.
I just installed my third Burcam pump. The first on came with a leak at the output fitting but that was not the problem, it lasted just over one year and the bladder failed. Second pump was the stainless version and it lasted 10 months before it started leaking between the pump and motor housing. The third pump I just installed and it has two leaks, one at the pressure tank fitting and one at the output fitting. I would say make sure to send in your warrant form but it will not help. They won't warrant it.

works great
easy set up, primed once and we had running water in minutes from 30' away with a draw deep of 23' little noise but not as bad as the last pump

Great pump for the price.
Didn't understand bad reviews. Have only had it for a few months but i have pumped enough water through it to equal 5 years of standard home use. Pumped 2500 gallons a day through it. If you install it correctly i would imagine it would last a very long time. Use flex pvc going in and out of the pump to cure vibration problems. One review complained about the reinforced hose that connects the tank to the pump. Worlds better then the braided steel stuff commonly included. This is a great replacement for an all in 1 booster pump like a walrus. Separate motor, pump end, tank, means that if the motor or pump end fails it can be replaced inexpensively. This is way better then the iron junk red lions.

Great pump
I bought this as my old pump went bad and the bladder tank was 35 years old. This all in one unit seemed appealing. Even more appealing as I'm transforming my home to off grid And this unit will be easy to power compared to the old unit I had. Easy to instal and prime. If you're using it not as a booster pump, but as your water supply you'll need an inline checkvalve as many have stated

Crap!
Did not last the year. Bought it in September and died in May only with occasional use.
