Jams and doesn't shuffle 4 decks evenly

I wanted to like this unit because it's simple and quick. But VERY noisy - you can't have a conversation over drinks while it's shuffling. I'm running 4 decks and they are new, slick as snot plastic coated cards. (Perhaps that's the main issue?). You might have a different experience with just 2 or 1 decks but I doubt it. About 80% of the time it will flip a few cards upside down and/or jam cards in the side. Occasionally jams so badly that it stops and you have to unjam it. It also (at least on mine) runs out of cards on the right side much faster than the left so I have to put about 20% more cards on the right to keep it from simply dumping cards in the same order they stacked in. I wouldn't recommend this unit. I'm going to go to a higher price tier and hopefully get better results.

I wish the Device was better made and had a power cord instead of battery’s!

It is 100% a good gift , I like the machine I just don’t understand what causes it to malfunction often and how, the value of the product is good if you play cards often and have extra batteries.

Check box and shuffler for batteries required

I purchased this 4-deck shuffler in advance of having friends over to play cards. The box label stated requires 4 AA batteries. Therefore I made certain to have 4 new AA batteries to place in the shuffler when it arrived. The day my guests were here to play cards, I opened the shuffler battery box to place the batteries which was obvious that we needed a different size battery which should have been C batteries. It was disappointing and frustrating that the shuffler would not work without the correct size batteries even though the box explicitly stated "requires 4 AA batteries. When I came back to the Amazon purchase, it was stated in the description to contact the company instead of the retailer if there was an issue with the shuffler. I called and sent an email which was frankly a disappointing response. The company first said that it must not have been one of their shufflers because it would have had the correct info on the box. I had sent photos with my email to show the box and where it stated 4 AA batteries. I only received a message back after I sent yet another photo to prove that it was indeed their product. Nothing was offered other than an apology for my inconvenience, other than to let me know that they had sent a message to Amazon to make them aware of incorrect boxes. I would have thought that Brybelly (the manufacturer) would have offered something for my trouble which they did not. I haven't heard anything back from either Amazon or Brybelly about this issue. Just adding this info to make anyone aware of this in case they are considering a purchase of this shuffler. I have purchased C batteries which seems to make the shuffler work properly but haven't used but one time. I would prefer to have a correct box so that when I might need to replace another time and wouldn't need to remember to open the battery unit to discover that I need a different size.

Never had a card shuffler but great to have when playing card games with more than one deck.

Would have given five stars but has tendency for cards to get stuck or hung up. Still a great value and this is just a small problem.

Multiple mis-labelings created impossible start-up of device!

We geezers decided we needed a card shuffler, due to increasing arthritis in our hands. Neither of us can shuffle cards effectively any more. Device comes in options of 2-decks, 4-decks or 6-decks. We chose 4-deck. Received shuffler - instructions make no sense. We are both high-level professionals, usually capable of problem-solving. Unable to figure out how to make shuffler work, using the YouTube video. Called Customer Service - helped by Antoinette, who was very nice and helpful in spite of the manufacturing and instructional deficiencies. She told me that the 4-deck shuffler requires C batteries (but box clearly says 4-AA batteries). Got it to work with the proper size batteries. WIth the 4-deck shuffler, the cards just fall into the bottom as they are shuffled -- NOT on spring-loaded platform as shown on YouTube video; we spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out where the spring-loaded platform actually was, but it was non-existent for our product. Yet the printed instructions referred us to a YouTube video which was NOT for our product (generically titled). Antoinette was very nice and stayed on the line till we found the C batteries and installed them. Then it worked. We told Antoinette that company has serious issues, with (1) advertised YouTube video not being correct one for the 4-deck product we bought, and (2) box being mislabeled “requires 4 AA batteries” when it is a C-battery device. She said that company will warranty the shuffler for four months (up to 3-12-19) if we have any other problems. I requested that she escalate these problems with the corporate Powers That Be, and I am writing this Amazon review to warn future buyers. Our problems trying to use this device have made us angry and frustrated. The device is supposed to contribute to the relaxation of a friendly card game, and we have wasted more than a full hour on it (plus the time to write this review). Ongoing usage of this device will decide whether we will write another review for Amazon in future. If it does not continue to perform as expected, I hope to write another review. If I remain silent, you may interpret that as: "so far, so good." Even if it continues to work as advertised, our experience with this company will be forever tainted by these start-up issues, which are things which should have not occurred. Period.

Happy with choice

Dislike: I had to exchange this product. The original apparently had some wiring disconnect, as nothing happened (not even a struggle) when I pressed the start bar. Replacement item: occasionally a few shuffled card(s) drop sideways rather than flat with the rest of the packs. Like: For the most part cards well shuffled when bar is pressed.

Easy to use...

I really enjoy this product. So far I have only used it for a day but it will be out for all future card games. It is extremely easy to use and goes through the cards quickly. However the box is incorrect as it says you need 4 AA batteries to operate. It actually takes 4 C batteries to run this machine. That's the only down fall as I don't keep that size of battery in stock at home. This product does not come with batteries either so please make sure you order or buy some before using this product.

Cheap plastic card shuffler. Misses cards all the time.

The shuffle button feels like it's going to break due to the type of plastic (hard). The shuffler misses cards. It's as loud as a train. I don't have much positive to say about it. It was fun for blackjack but can't be used for poker.

Sanded the slot wider for sleeved cards.

The media could not be loaded. Did not work with cards against humanity non sleeved. Works really good with exploding kittens with singles sleeve inner sleeves only (kmc or ultra pro) Works 66% of the time with ultra pro perfect if inner sleeves an katana premium sleeves. Had to sand the slot wider for the katana sleeves, tho I can sand a bit more so the actually fall nicely onto the tray. I've put a couple dragon shield in (my brother uses them) tho not enough to see how a full deck will work tho they do seem to fit tho sanding length also might help as their a bit longer than katana tho still fit in the slot just not loose like the others for length So far has only damaged non sleeved cards or basically what do u meme n cards against humanity. It didn't shuffle them just left scratches on the kard were the gears were hitting Video of it not liking but working with double sleeve deck of 60 pokemon cards, didn't let me upload a second vid of single sleeved exploding kittens but they fell in the tray so it works So update on sleeves that works after I widening the inside slot... -upperdeck and kmc perfect fits -double sleeved katana works alright tho jams sometimes -double sleeved ryker works best n have never jammed when using -dragon sheild glossy don't suffer at all -cards against humanity/what do you meme will only shuffle if sleeved with like kmc or upper deck perfect fits Tho overall if you looking for a shuffler to shuffle sleeved decks and got some sand paper this a viable option unless you use dragonsheild. u might even be able to shuffle a double sleeved commander deck tho for sure a single sleeved one with ryker sleeves

Missing platform.

1. DISLIKE. The shuffler came without the platform inside the shuffler. The platform was missing possibly removed by ? before I received it, a piece of scotch tape was holding the cover shut. It looked as if it was open before I received it. 2. DISLIKE. Cards were flying all over when shuffling. Had to modify the shuffler by adding a restraint over the cards to be shuffled. 3. LIKE. After making these modifications, it worked great. JC.

Works good

I’m deducting one star because the seller ought to indicate this requires four C batteries, not AA. The battery compartment is far too big to securely hold AA batteries which would definitely pose a hazard. Otherwise it shuffles cards just as well as hoped, as long as the decks are flat, no bends or dog-ears. Edit - Well it worked okay for about two weeks. The instructions advise how to sort of jimmy the reeks so they don’t press against each other but that’s at best a very temporary solution as the entire contraption is only made of plastic that’s not firmly anchored. I also think the rubber reel to feed the cards is already worn. Short story - it takes more time to continually flick the reels in place so each side shoots out the cards than it would to shuffle a few decks by hand. It’s also runs batteries dry very quickly. Not recommended unless one yearns the feeling of frustration.
