Great high quality door knob that is sturdy and looks amazing!

This is a high quality door knob. It is sturdy and looks great. I installed it on my door from my garage into my house so that it would be easier to open the door when carrying groceries and other items. (There is nothing worse than trying to twist a knob and not drop everything at the same time.) It was very easy to install. I did have to switch the handle as it comes made for a left handed door and my door is right handed. This was easy to do, but I do wish that it would list how to switch it at the beginning of the instructions instead of at the end (which is AFTER it tells you to attach it to the door.) My reason for this is that to change the handle direction, you have to have the parts not screwed into the door first. It has you pop off the levers from both pieces and then switch them to the other piece. It is very easy and they give you the tool needed to switch them, it just would have been nice to not have to put it on twice. (I do also realize that this is my own fault as I should have read through all of the instructions first before beginning the project, which is why I still gave them 5 stars.) Another interesting thing to note is that all of my doors do not have the faceplate on the door knob, they just have a round hole drilled into the door, without the square divot/cutout that the faceplate is meant to go into. To solve this, once the center piece with the latch was in place I used a hammer to pound the faceplate flat against the door (otherwise it would get caught on the faceplate that is attached to the door frame.) It closes nicely and it looks like it was made perfectly for the door. This did not damage the product at all. All in all, I highly recommend this door knob.

Lots of bang for the buck, a bit low on hand comfort

This door lever set offers great bang for the buck. For the roughly $20 we paid for each set (we bought two sets), it's hard to beat the price. We are using these for external doors that already had electronic deadbolts but needed new knobs/handles. One set for the back door, one set for the kitchen-to-garage door. Installation was simple and quick, the overall build is solid, and the appearance/design aesthetic is good. I see two slight faults in the design. One is that there is a bit of a "hitch" in the lever movement when the lever is pushed down and it engages the latch. It's not totally smooth in operation (a minor point). The comfort level to the hand pushing down on the lever leaves a bit to be desired, too. Edges are a little bit to the harsh side. That is, they have a sort of harsh feel against the hand when pushing down on the levers or pulling the door open. I imagine this feel in hand is more pronounced with a heavier entry door than it might be with a lightweight interior passage door. I can't add an opinion about longevity since we've only been using them for about a month, but both sets have performed well on the two doors that we use the most in this home. All in all, I'll give this lever set 4 out of 5 stars for being a very good value at the price.

New door handles

I ordered 6 and they all came at a different time. Turned out ok but would have liked to have them all at once.

Installation was simple and it works great! Although it's not meant for outdoor use

Purchased this to install on my front door as a simple door knob as we already have an electronic combination deadbolt above it. The old door knob was a simple round one, which made it difficult to open the front door if your hands were full. This one lets you use an elbow or an item you are carrying once the deadbolt is unlocked to open the door. Installation was simple and it works great! Although it's not meant for outdoor use, our porch and door is covered from direct weather, so we'll see how the finish weathers on it.

Works great!

The whole reason I got this door knob was because I have been trying to get my son to sleep in his bedroom. He can't open ball door knobs, but he can open levers. This was a nice looking door knob and it didn't lock. Perfect! Because I couldn't have my son accidentally locking himself in his room! He can easily open it and we have now had this thing for a few months and no issues with it locking up or anything. It still works as well as it did the day we bought it.

Just what I was looking for.

Looking for a simple door handle for my mom, round door knobs are difficult for her now so this is a great solution. Easy install to replace the existing handle mechanism. Going to ding Brinks one star because the end of the handle is a bit pointed and could potentially poke someone but otherwise, excellent build quality.

The package was missing all the screws and the strike plate. Luckily I was able to use the old ones.
