Great starter. Recommend buying OEM parts always.
No more returns. This starter does it. Oem all the way for 19.5 hp Craftsman v-twin riding lawnmower. Returned two off brand , didn't work, defective. This BriggsandStratton saved the day!!

Right fit for my Craftsman Riding Mower
A little difficult to install. Just the design of the engine putting the starter in a hard to reach spot for the bolts. Other than that installation was pretty straight forward. Fired right up. Better to pay a little bit more for OEM parts than to replace poor quality knock offs more than once after it fails again and again.

Good fit genuine briggs.
Mower cranked slowly with new battery and has never started when hot. My mower is 1996 and now cranks like a new one.

stopped replacing starter gears
On my old starter replaced starter drive (cheap one) and several starter gears afterwards. Took a while to take starter off each time. Replaced entire starter with this Briggs and Stratton made starter. Starts like new, no more starter or starter gear problems. Well worth it even though it costs more than the cheap starters.

Just Perfect
Exact replacement for the Briggs & Stratton starter on my lawnmower. I prefer buying OEM parts. This was no exception. Definitely worth the extra money. I’ve had too many problems with cheap knock-offs

Almost exact fit.
Great replacement. Way quieter than the old one. Slight difference in the shape compared to the original, I had to cut a small bit out if the flywheel cover to make it fit properly.
