Real brass

When selecting hardware for outdoor projects I sometime want real brass or copper for their weather and corrosion resistance. Many times I have been disappointed to discover that items advertised as brass were in fact just plated steel. An easy way to tell is to use a magnet. Brass does not stick to a magnet. This is solid brass. Brass is not a strong as steel so when planning a project be sure to use a heavy enough gauge.

Good but Not What I Expected

When Home Depot stopped carrying their gold colored jack chain I had to find another source for my craft work. This is nice quality brass chain. My only disappointment is that it looks more plain than the twisted jack chain that I had been using. It's OK and since I bought 50 ft, I will be using it for a l-o-n-g time.

Nice Brass Chain

Wish the photo had included a coin next to the chain so I could see the size better. Yet, this is a very nice-looking solid feel, heavy, brass chain which I hope is solid brass. It's a bit too big for what I had planned but I will find use for it.

Like it a lot

I've been looking for solid brass chain at a good price, and I have found it! For my purpose, I prefer clock chain, but it is so much more expensive that I gave this a try and I like the look and quality.
