Sturdy plant markets that are easy to spot
These large, sturdy plant markers are good for marking larger plants that cover larger areas where spotting smaller markers would be unlikely or difficult.

Classy Way To Label My Bonsai Collection
Ive used the small White Plastic labels that are usually used by many. However I was looking for something a little nicer, especially since I have a nice Bonsai Collection. I picked up these Wren Stainless Steel Labels and I am so happy that I did. They are the perfect size to label even small plants / trees. It gives you plenty of room to label your plant / tree and they are somewhat reusable. I'll explain 'somewhat' in a moment. I took a few photos to show you how these look in both large and small trees. For now, I label them simply with the tree's name and the year it started growing. I have seen others write alot more detail on theirs. No matter how much or how little you write, these look really nice compared to those white plastic plant labels many use. Now Wren states that if you want to reuse these, they recommend you use a Paint Pen and Nail Polish Remover. This way if you make a mistake or want to write something else on it, the Nail Polish Remover will remove the Paint used from the Paint Pen. If you use a Sharpie, good luck on trying to remove that ink. But in my experience, when I used the Paint Pan, you can remove all the Paint with Nail Polish Remover. However, I still would see a slight shadow of what you wrote before. It is very very faint. And if you write something else on the label, it will cover that up. But don't expect the label to look perfectly clean when removing the paint from the paint pen. However, even with that tiny issue, I am completely satisfied with these and have already reordered them once.

❤ love, Love, LOVE these Garden Markers!!!
These are by far the best garden markers I've purchased. They will definitley last a lifetime and are 100% stainless steel. The design on this is nice with the rounded edges and curves. I like to print labels to use on mine to add the latin name and the variety name. (I use the Brother P-Touch Extra Strength labels that do not fade/peel.) I mostly use these stainless steel plant labels for my hellebore collection, but they would be great for any shorter plant. The only down side is these are short, only 6.5 inches high, so they could get lost if you add a layer of mulch to your planting beds - just be careful, also don't press them down into the soil too deeply. Overall these are a bit expensive, but they will never rust and are definitely the best plant markers sold on Amazon!!

Last a Long Time!!
May be a little pricey, but if you want something to last outdoors in a garden for a long time, this is the labeling product for you!! Purchased our first set a few years ago and they are still as good as new!! Since then we've purchased a couple of more sets as our garden grew. We used a Brothers labeling machine to create the names of flowers, herbs, shrubs, etc. then adhered them to these label stakes. Worked great!! Have had to replace a couple of the stick on labels that faded but the stakes stand strong!!! Well worth the price!!

They don't fall apart like the other style!!
Purchased last year and am ordering more. They don't fall apart like the other style of metal plant labels, The wire and metal band style don't last for many years as the metal loosens and then drops off the wire legs. With these one-piece markers there is nothing to come apart. Also, they have plenty of room for large print so you don't have to get down on your knees to read them. (I use an inexpensive Brother label maker set on the largest size font, and have had those printed labels outlast the metal band they were attached to!) They might cost a little more per label, but you are getting more metal and they are more durable. I try to map out my new plantings in my garden journal, but then I go back and look and some times new things "tucked in" haven't been recorded. Its handier to just make a label at the time of planting, so I like to keep these on hand!

Nice way to label and learn plant names
I have seen plant labels in the gardens of house museums and thought it was nice to have the names readily available. Feeling inspired after a recent house museum visit, I decided to buy some of these Wren labels to identify some of the trees and perennials (which will fade away in the fall) in our yard. They are the perfect size for identifying plants that are in a flower bed or in a mid to larger size pot. The face of these labels is large enough to easily write out the common and "official" name of a plant. I have used both a Sharpie marker and an Elmer's paint pen and both have held up well. A couple of gardening neighbors have complimented me on the labels. One neighbor said she was going to ask me the name of my Japanese maple, but she looked down and saw the name on the marker! In summary, these are a fun way to organize and make the lawn or garden a little more "showy" but they will also serve to help me remember what's planted in a certain spot once my perennials have faded away through the fall and winter.

Excellent long term outdoor use
I use a drimel drill to engrave the name of fruit trees and specific planting related information. I first write the information with a sharpie then engrave over the letters. Even if the sharpie ink fades the engraved letters are still visible. Like may of the other commenters it is difficult to find a long lasting outdoor marking method. Those plastic marker tags just fade or eventually break down and crumble when exposed to full sun and rain. I needed something that would last for years not months. Plenty of room to write or engrave on front and back. I have many tropical fruit trees. I can not always identify a specific variety of mango or avocado since they all look the same until fruit is produced.

Love these, totally worth it
Very happy with this purchase, second year using them on my balcony. They get quite a bit of rain and are exposed to all day sun, have not seen any impacts to the look/functionality. A bit on the expensive side, but really worth it in the long run :) Large enough to write puns on them as well (had herbs and veggies named using puns)
