OK product but plastic pipe/valve are a potential weak point.
The bladder and supports are made well enough and it (was) about half full after several weeks of intermittent heavy rain. After a week of cool, dry weather I went to retrieve some water for my indoor garden. I found no more that about 3" of water in the barrel. After contemplating the reasons for water loss, I've determine the bladder is not at fault nor is a high evaporation rate due to local climate conditions. The problem seems to be with the plastic pipe and 1/4 turn ball valve assembly. I discovered a very slow leak between the pipe leading from the bladder where it threads into the ball valve. OK, my bad for not checking that on initial assembly. But to be fair the pipe/valve assembly came pre-assembled on the bladder. I made the mistake of assuming the factory would have ensured everything was tightly threaded.

A worthwhile purchase for me.
Good - Upon first seeing the water barrel, I was skeptical that it would be sturdy enough to hold that much water but to my surprise it was fine. Not so good - (1) Being a handyman, I felt I should build a raised wooden 9 sided surround for the barrel to fit in. That way it would look more attractive, be conducive to filling a 5 gallon bucket, and be protected from puncture from animals, fallen tree limbs, etc. (2) The outlet valve is a low flow plastic affair so I retrofitted a regular faucet at the bottom. I also retrofitted an overflow tube at the top to bleed off excess water away from the house. Bottom line, the price was right and I was completely satisfied with the end result after some fairly extensive modifications.

Leaks, poor design.
Horrible, no gasket or any sealant where the pipe comes out. Leaks like a screen door on a submarine. The hole for the pipe is just that, a hole that is not reinforced with any extra material or gasket. Further inspection revealed that whoever had the job of putting the hole in the material, did it in the wrong location. See pics, the large white patch area is where I believe the hole goes. I'm going to have to fabricate my own gaskets and use a sealer. Time constraints force me to work with this, nonetheless very upsetting.
