Great little hot water heater!
This is my 3rd time purchasing these tanks... I bought one 2 years ago so I could use it with my off grid solar.. 2 years it's been and it's still going strong, so I decided to buy 2 more.. 1 to replace my 40 gallon electric hot water heater and another for a spare ( prepping)... I don't know what some people are complaining about on the few bad reviews, I mean don't you people have any brains or common sense?.. it's a 7 gallon hot water heater, you can't expect a 20 minute hot shower but I can get a 10 to 12 minute shower and I like pretty warm showers... Plus on top of that it uses less than 1\3 of the electric my 40 gallon heater did, plus I can run it on solar or a small generator, it takes about 35 minutes to fully recover, and seems well built and judging from the other one I put in 2 years ago seems quite reliable.. My only complaint is I bought them returned.. one was brand new and never installed so I put that one in my preps.. the other however was installed by a sloppy plumber who marked it up with pipe dope and gouged it quite a bit.. I installed that one, it works great but should've been less than 204.00 in my opinion which was marked as like new.. but anyways no fault of the hot water heater, just incompetent people, but I saved 160 dollars buying 2 of them though so I can live with it having a few marks back in a closet where no one can see it anyways... I highly recommend these water heaters from having one for over 2 years now and it has been 100% problem free and I have 2 of them operating in my home, one does my downstairs bathroom and kitchen and the other does my upstairs bathroom and laundry room.. the money you'll save on electric over the life of the tank will pay for itself... Oh and by the way these small tanks heat the water up way way hotter than a regular hot water tank, so you use way less hot water taking a shower, that's way I can get a 10 to 12 minute shower, you could never hold your hand under straight hot water coming from these.. a regular hot water tank heats the water to 120 degrees where as these small tanks heat water to 140 to 160.. And they are really well insulated too will keep water hot for hours before needing to cycle on..

I did not like that it didn't have all parts included no pressure relief value or 3/4 plug, Bosch did send me a pressure relief value after multiple calls.

Excellent water heater for the money
I purchased the 7 gallon Bosh ES8 water heater on April 26 2022 for my 1984 travel traveler. I live in a trailer full time and the Bosch electric water is a good replacement for the worn out gas water heater that came with my trailer. So far I'm extremely happy with the unit as it provides plenty of hot water for quick showers as well as washing dishes. After replacing the anode rod for the first time in 11 months, my only recommendation for the unit is to replace the anode rod around every 6 months. I live in an area with very hard water and found the anode rod was almost non existent and there was a lot of calcium build up in the tank. After flushing the calcium from the tank and inspecting, the factory coating is still present on the inside of the tank and the heating element just needed a quick scrub with a wire brush. I highly recommend any of the Bosh 3000T water heater models as long as maintenance is performed frequently. luckily the anode rod can be found on amazon fairly cheap and is easy to replace. once the tank is drained removing the heating element only takes a couple minutes.

Great unit
I originally purchased this to supplement my gas water heater in my camper that I was living in full time. I ended up turning off the gas water heater and using the 7 gallon unit solely. It is now in my cabin and provides all my hot water, yes for the shower also. It hangs on the wall above the water closet, out of the way. I would highly recommend this unit. (I do run it at max temperature.

Best for camper
I installed in place of 6gal gas and there is a huge difference.hot showers last at least 10min or more would definitely buy again best deal for the money and I have had zero issues with unit using daily for 3 people .it only takes 15 to 20 min between showers to reheat to temp

Item was new condition but...
I purchased the WH too early before install date... When we installed it the plumber suspected that it had been used, a few parts missing.. I tried it out after installation and found that the thermostat had to be placed at Maximum but the temp would warm to about 100 degrees and the thermostat would not energize the unit even though I used water out of it which should communicate that it needs to energize the elements - yet thermostat would not light or energize with out some extensive turning dial 100% then it would only heat for a short time.. Since after I purchased it, I left it in my storage for a few months before installation, I suspect the return policy has expired... BUT I will still go through the effort to get satisfaction... It is installed about 5 ft from the sink so the water should get and stay plenty hot but NOT...

Hotter than the Reem unit being replaced
The box says it's an 8 gallon unit. Don't understand the discrepancy between 8 gallon spec on box and 7 gallon spec on the paperwork inside. I just installed it so can't speak to longevity but cranking the hot dial up makes a huge difference in water temp. The extra heat makes cleaning dishes a breeze and allows for longer showers. I intended to mention shower length with a water saver head but after 13 minutes of steamy hot shower, it was still going strong. It out performs my expectations!

Perfect for small applications
We have a sink in each bathroom in our church building. We don't need to heat a huge amount of water for people to wash their hands. Our old water heater stopped working, so we bought this one to replace it. The installation was smooth except that the teflon tape didn't stay in place when we put the plug in. We had to make sure we put extra windings around it so it would not leak. The safety value also leaked at first, but after we drained the tank and flipped the release valve several times, it stopped leaking when we refilled the heater. The rectangular shape means it doesn't stand out quite as far from the wall as the old round one did. It took two of us about 2 hours to remove the old heater and install this new one.
