Good for exterior brick installation projects

We used these to drill pilot holes to install a ring doorbell and some other hardware to the exterior of a brick home. The value was great. They did require low rpm drilling and quite a bit of cleaning of the hole and bit during the process. I think this is fairly standard, so I would recommend these as they got the job done.

Great bits for brick and cinder block (see details). Recommended

My retail space has perimeter walls made of brick and cinder block, which means that everything goes up with Toggler Alligators and 18-8 screws. However, to get the Alligators in, I have to drill, first. That's where the BOSCH BM5000 Fast Spiral Masonry Set (14-Piece) comes in. I use one bit for the Alligators, and a small one for the little plastic sleeve-type anchors. The BM5000 bits make quick work of the brick, with no walking, tip burn, or bit failures (yet). Better yet, at just over $1/bit, this set is very inexpensive. Recommended

Impressive, great addition to anyone’s tool inventory

Needed a masonry bit set to hang a heavy, full length mirror on a wall, which had our home’s original chimney behind it. To complicate matters, the wall was a mix of old plaster and drywall, layered over the original chimney. Bosch, however, does not disappoint; with little effort these masonry bits went right to the original brick work, and then some, allowing for a job well done. Also important to note, these are universal bits and worked fine with a Makita drill.

Worst Masonry Drill Bits

I didn't think twice to buy this because they are BOSCH but I am extremely disappointed when trying to use them. I tried to drill some holes in a brick wall (not concrete). It took me an hour to drill 6 holes using BOSCH masonry drill bits. Strongly discourage to buy these drill bits for masonry purpose. Returning them to Amazon.

Cheapest option

Needed for a barrel bolt on a gate going into concrete. At $14 this was by far the cheapest option and got the job done, after getting up to 1/2" with carbide drill bits.

Meh - Overpriced. Don't let the name mislead you

Purchased these for my hammer drill to do some light work in masonry. Unfortunately, these are NOT for hammer drills as per the packaging. I guess my bad? I'll try using them in my hammer drill with the hammer mode off.
