Good, but not great, travel crossbody bag

There are a lot of features that I like about this bag, but a few areas that Travelon could improve. Likes: their bags are good quality overall. I feel they are reasonably priced compared to other travel/security bags. This bag was the size I was looking for my Ireland trip last year. It worked well for what I needed and it has held up one year later (it has been my daily purse since then). Good amount of space, well thought out security features, locking zippers are easy to open, light colored interior is helpful with attached light so it’s not a black hole, and it has water bottle holders that are covered to look more classy when not in use (more on that in a second). Dislikes/areas for improvement: the strap is uncomfortable for long outings due to the anti-theft cables. When traveling, I’m more worried about pickpockets than someone slashing my strap. That could be helped by a small sliding shoulder pad over the existing strap. The water bottle pockets are small, which makes it a struggle to get a bottle in/out. If they made the elastic band just 1/2” bigger then it wouldn’t be such a problem. I bought a very small 12 oz stainless steel water bottle to travel with because none of my other bottles would fit. The zipper to close the holders gets caught on the nylon webbing and has torn it after not much use. While the material wipes clean fairly easily, it is not water resistant. I was in the rain for an hour and the bag was drenched and contents got wet. I might coat it with a water repellent spray so this doesn’t happen again. Summary: good bag. I’d buy it again.

YES! Absolutely PERFECT for Europe or anywhere else you want to go.

This bag was so perfect. Not too big, but has room exactly for everything you need. Secure in every sense of the word. The card and money slot are on the back and locks, and every compartment locks. It's easy to carry, not heavy, and fits water bottles. If you're going on a trip and need a safe travel bag that isn't too large or small, this is the one. I cannot say this again. We went on a Mediterranean cruise, and multiple places we went are extremely heavy with pickpocketing, even saw theft with my own eyes while there. This bag made all the difference. I didn't use a wallet, so as to just make it harder for someone to take my stuff. The card slots in the back are great, and the inside also has a deep zip-up pocket where I kept cash or my passports when needed. This is GREAT! I just cannot stress that enough. If you're on the fence, do it. It fit everything I needed, and more, and it wasn't even heavy when water bottles were added, which it has room for on both sides.

Great travel bag

I bought this for a 9 day trip to Europe and it was perfect as my day bag. Held a snack, tissues, my winter hat when not wearing, phone, credit cards in the security area, and importantly for me, a reusable water bottle I bought to fit in the side, a small umbrella in the other side pouch. I’m not giving 5 stars because on the 7th day I realized a small hole had occurred at the bottom of the mesh where I kept the water bottle every day, I just sewed it when I got home. Otherwise, security features were great, strap is strong, performed the job I hoped it would.

Great travel purse

Love the myriad compartments this purse has, which makes it easy to stay organized when traveling. Everything has a place, and I particularly love how the water bottle holders can be collapsed when not in use. I security like it so much that I haven't yet unpacked from a trip that was a few weeks back! Only drawback for daily use is actually one of the perks for travel: the material. I personally prefer a softer material for regular use, which this intentionally doesn't have. Perfect for travel!

Great Bag for Travel

Great bag for travel. I took this on my trip to France and the multiple pockets were so helpful. The front pocket with the zipper and flap was where I slipped my phone in and out to take photos and then to keep it secure from pickpockets. The middle pocket I used to carry my water bottle when I was in areas where I felt safest ... the side pouches are too small for a water bottle, but I used them to carry hand sanitizer and hand lotion which I used frequently.

Worth every penny!

It may look small but it carries a lot. It has enough space for documents, camera, iphone pro max, keys, water bottle. It has RFID and zipper locks so I felt safe using it while at markets and crowded places. Easy to reach for docs while at immigration too. The flashlight was useful for night walks.

Great bags!

These are the best purses. No need to carry a wallet, as the one zipper section holds all credit cards and money. My phone goes in one outside pocket and a water bottle in the other. Inside zipper holds the pills I carry. Two inside pockets handy for pen, notepad, lipsticks, compact, etc. Very versatile bag, especially to travel…since I purchased my first one a couple years ago I’ve carried it exclusively wherever I go. Easy to wash off with soap and water. Strap easily adjustable to short or long. I love them.

This stylish bag gives me confidence

I bought this bag primarily for my travels to the Far East where I wanted to enjoy shopping and not having to worry that my bag was safe. I didn't need to worry! This bag give me the confidence to go out and know that my goods are theft free (unless I leave it on a seat of course!) but strapped across my shoulder and the bag in front, all my zips were secure and I'm happy that the strap is slash-free. My passport and credit cards were in the RFID compartment and my money and kindle were in the other compartments. There is plenty of room for everything you would want to take around with you including a section for bottled water. This is a stylish travel bag and I thoroughly recommend it

Great anti-theft bag, but small!!

This bag will suit your needs for travel, it's compact and will fit all your essentials, passport, wallet. It has 3 outside pockets, and multiple inside pockets (again, rather small) including RDIF pockets for passport, travel passes, ID and bank cards, even a small torch for when you want to find your keys at night. I just wish it was slightly bigger. I've gone back to my much cheaper bag for ordinary use because it has plenty of room and will only use the Travelon bag on my travels. What I can't understand is, why Travelon charge more for the different colours, sometimes nearly twice as much. The bag I bought is a lovely "Midnight Blue" but I wanted the black one, however, the black one is £61.09, whereas, the blue one cost only £35.72, why? It's exactly the same bag, same size, just a different colour!!! I have to say though, I'm very pleased with the bag itself, it looks like it'll last a long time and very secure, just a tad small. Bit of advice, there is a note with the bag asking you to register it, you can't register it if you live outside the US or Canada!!!

Offers security, practicality and looks good

Purchased for London work trips in support of my laptop trolley. Only used for essential shop due to being demobbed back to Lincolnshire because of covid 19 ???? looking forward to using in and around London on tube if and when lock down ends. Very impressed with quality of bag I also purchased one in purple. The bonus for me was the safe storage yet easy access of bank cards as I found London a cashless city so the use of a normal bag and purse redundant... but I feared losing my bank card. This bag is ideal size and is secure and I don't need a separate purse.

Great bag for tra el

I used this bag on recent trips to Barcelona and Rome. It is very safe and secure. This is my second Travelon, had the first one for about 15 years, but started to look a bit shabby. This one is smarter. Very sturdy and well made. This is the smaller of the models you can get in the UK. I had wanted the crossbody for a bit more space, but was pleasantly surprised by how much you can fit in compared to my previous one. As with all Travelon security bags, you have wire through the strap and the zips have security clasps. Overall, a grest purchase.

It’s a good bag for travel. Security is great and there’s lots of room for phone, travel docs and water etc. only one thing stopped me from giving this 5 stars and that is the fact that one of the catches doesn’t work. I would have returned it but I’d already used the bag before I noticed.
