First of all, I really wanted to get a 6mm 22gauge solid gold hoop, but I couldn't find it from Body Candy. It was important that it was from Body Candy because of the free prime shipping and free returns. Those things are so important to us online shoppers. We can't see it in person, or hold it on our hands. That is the best way to get us to buy something! C'mon sellers! Get with it! Now about the actual product, I didn't like it at first because I really wanted it skinny and to hug my nostril. From my hole piercing to the edge of my nostril is about 8mm. I had purchased the 9mm (or 3/8in) but once I tried it on I was immediately reminded of a review I had read before- "I looked like a pirate!" And not in a good way! lol I removed it and returned it and got this one instead (the 5/16in or 8mm). I tried it on and like I said before, I didn't like it at first. I had to squeeze it together at different parts of the circle to get it closed a bit more, and to get it to maintain the circle shape. It took a little while to get used to also because I had only ever had studs or screw studs, never a hoop. It tickled! But, it's really grown on me, I really love how it looks. I like how it doesn't hug my nostril as much as I thought I wanted. And the tickling has gone away, or at least I can make it go away with positioning it properly. I do have to mess with it a little more than my studs, which is a little bit of a bother to me just because it looks like I'm picking my nose or something. And when I'm washing/exfoliating my face, I ALWAYS had to use my thumb nail to hold my stud in while washing, but with the hoop, I just wash my face and don't even worry about it. It just spins, it doesn't come out. And that's another thing, sometimes, my hand or some other thing would kind of catch on my stud and pull it out half way or pull on it, that is not a problem with this hoop. It was tricky to get in though, you have to insert it into your nostril to poke it through the piercing hole and it kinda hurt a little. But, just for a split second. I've attached some pictures to show how it looks and I even got one going up into the nostril, I know some people will be like "eww" but I know I wanted to see it before I bought it, and I didn't get to. You can hardly see the little ball that keeps it from going through on the inside up inside my nostril. I would like to see Body Candy offer the 7mm in the 22gauge solid gold hoop, I would snatch it up, but for now, I'm very happy with this. Oh, and it really helps that my husband thinks it's pretty sexy.
