Fits, but a little small

This product states that it’s the right size for a 20 x 40 pool however I only have about a foot overlap. On my last tarp, I had at least 2 to 3 feet overlap on a 20 x 40 tarp

Extremely happy with the pool cover.

Bought a size bigger than I needed just in case I needed the extra length/width. Folded the extra on top and put 8 foot water cells around the border. The cover also has evenly spaced grommets if needed. Really happy with the purchase and peace of mind.

Good for what it is:

My last green one lasted at least ten years. The trick is to follow the directions, meaning putting enough of the tarp into the pool so that it doesn't get stretched tight. It's not meant to hold water weight, it's just meant to keep pool water and dirty pool cover water separated.

Ecomonical and seems to work well

It's pictured with water tubes that aren't included, but I bought those separately and it went on easily and supported the weight of my 10 pound puppies when they jumped on it. It was wide enough to go around my permanent ladder and we used clamps on the bars to hold it in place. Big tree limbs have fallen on it from storms, but it seems to be holding up. The cost compared to paying for service through winter is well worth it. I don't know if it will last longer than a year or what it will take to get the pool ready when spring comes around, but I'm optimistic and happy that all of the bugs that are on top won't be in there.

Good, but won't last 12years

This is my second Blue Wave 12 year cover and the first one only served me three winters in NC where the winters aren't brutal at all. This cover seems Iike it may even be thinner than the first one. If I can get three winters out of this one then I'll be pleased since that computes to $20/year to keep my pool water crystal clear.

Give it a chance, like I will....

5 stars would make this product perfect. However, the warranty is a sub-par, PRORATED, 12 year. 2 years is all you will receive as an unconditional warranty. Misleading, but hopefully will be upheld if I should need it to be instated. It also states that postage for returning this, is customer's responsibility. How will a customer a) fold tight enough to fit in a box, b) carry to post office and put on counter.c) afford to send the piece back? HMMMMMM.....Maybe they can change this part of the warranty........ Product is atypical of pool tarps, as of now. This will be confirmed after a couple Pennsylvania winters. Price is Great.....

Important Warranty Information

I just installed this cover and it appears to be of the same quality and thickness as other cheaper covers I've bought over the years. Time will tell... I gave the cover three stars because I feel I was misled by the 12-year warranty claim. I want to inform potential buyers of the nature of the "12-year warranty". First of all, if there is a problem, the buyer is responsible for paying the freight back to the manufacturer. Once received and validated, the buyer will get a credit towards the "current retail selling price". Here's the catch. 1. The cover is very heavy and will cost a lot to send back to the manufacturer. I estimate between $60 and $90. 2. There is no guarantee the manufacturer will accept the return and not say it was the buyer's fault for some contrived reason. 3. The warranty is only gives full credit for the first two years. After that, the credit is prorated as follows: year 3 - 60% of current retail selling price year 4 -50% year 5 - 40% year 6 - 35% year 7 - 30 % year 8 - 25% year 9 - 20% year 10 - 15% year 11 - 10% year 12 - 5% The cover costs approximately $200. Once you factor in the fact that it will cost the buyer $60-90 to ship the heavy cover back. It will only make financial sense to send it back during the first 3-4 years. Even then, after paying for shipping, the buyer won't get much of a credit. I really wish I had known this before buying. If I had, I would have chosen the cheaper 8-year warranty cover (or another cover entirely).

You'll need to have no more than 18 inches of water drop, for this to work.

Quality is excellent, so I would mark it with 4 - 5 stars, but the hassle is that is not covering the indicated pool size*. My pool is 14 by 32 feet, so this cover should have being more than enough. Well ...not, as for this cover to work, you'll need *not more than 18 inches of water drop; so in my case (more than specified drop) it couldn't properly cover it. The info is not sufficiently highlighted before purchase, not even on the box, but only inside on the warranty paper. In conclusion my rating / review is not on the quality of the product but on lack of proper info that triggered lots of time/resources wasted.

....did not last the first year before having a tear in the tarp !

Very disappointed ! I already have a tear in the tarp (near the seam) and this is the first year of use. I will attempt to get in touch with the manufacturer to have the tarp replaced.....hopefully Amazon will provide some assistance in this process.

Easy to handle and tough

Held up well for 2 years, so far. Some of the grommets installed too close to edge and one pulled out of the material due to very strong wind.
