Got these to put this years Christmas Cactus in

They have twine so I don't believe that will last in the FL heat. We will try to get them up on the edge of the porch, some are in bloom already, last years are sick but I have hopes. I don't have a green thumb but I keep some of my poinsettia alive as long as they have the tray and I put all my herbs in one pot and only one is sick, I think its thyme

Don't forget to punch out drain holes before planting

these are nice but there were no instructions and I had planted the plants before I discovered you need to punch out the drain hole in the bottom. We then tried and I don't think we were too successful. Also the hooks to attach the strings aren't the best.

Water retention to keep plants moist.

I planted both flowers and ivy in the pots. Like the feature of water retention as I don't have to water the plants as its a bit difficult to water a hanging plants. Don't like that the connecting cords are different lengths causing the pot to tilt instead of being level.

Pot OK, but Connection clips from hanger to pot are cheap plastic. Luckily it came apart once before I got the pot hung up with soil, plant and water. I had zero confidence that they would support a full pot. So I ended up replacing both the clips and the hanger. I made my own clips using the metal from some old shower curtain clips. Just made an inverted U with legs sticking out to the side about 3/4"

NICE PLANT HANGER

I really like the color of this hanging planter. It is sturdy. I do wish that the hanger would be longer and made of a different material. It is a thick yarn that is not very attractive. If your ceilings are high, like mine, you may have to use a step stool to water the plants unless you are tall!

Pass on This

This came without the interior part that would make it self watering. I didn't really need a self watering planter, just needed it to be hanging and the right color, so I'm not going to go through the hassle of returning it, but I do feel a little jipped. The hanging part also seems too weak to support a heavy plant. We'll see how it holds up. The one I bought (probably for even less money) at home depot has a much sturdier chain hanger and the hooks are more embedded in the planter. Didn't really want to go to home depot but lesson learned, I'll buy my hanging planters there next time.

High Quality, Low Price

These are a GREAT value. I've seen the exact same planters for $15 each. I was worried I would be sacrificing quality by buying them for such a low price. Nope! These are heavy-duty pots with sturdy cords and attachments. They've been hanging on my porch for a month and I have had zero problems. I will be buying more of these myself and highly recommend them to anyone looking for hanging planters.

I was not impressed with the fact that I ordered 6 pots and had to return 3 because the hanging accessories were missing as well as one of the bottoms.
