Traditional sanding block. Heavy rubber with nails.

Anyone who has used sanding blocks should be familiar with these. It has 2? Nails on each end covered by a rubber flap. You fold the sandpaper into the crevice and puncture it onto the nails. This holds it in place. I haven’t had any issues with it - but other people complained about the material. There is another colored one - same brand - that may be better if you have difficulties with this one. It’s a light reddish brown color. This one is a harder feeling rubber. This will always beat the yellow, Velcro variation sand blocks. I’m sure they have their own use, but the Velcro ones always seem flimsy and come off using use!

Effective. Not the Easiest to Install the Sand Paper

Leaves a nice, smooth surface. Easy to work with and fits nice in average-size men's hands. Installing the paper could be made a bit easier by making the top part and bit more flexible.

Hard to get the sandpaper in.

Has a nice weight to it. Very sturdy. But hard to put the sandpaper in it.

Ok for the price

So I want to say I like it, but it's not perfect. It's hard to open it to put the sandpaper over the nails. Other then that after you put the sandpaper in comfortable to use. Then removing the sandpaper is annoying. Would go with the velcro next time I think.

It works

For a sanding block, it does the job. The size of the block works great for standard sized rolls of sandpaper. The standard sandpaper rolls SLIGHTLY overhang on the sides of the sanding block, which is great so that you can get into corners. The bottom of the block also has a EXTREMELY SLIGHT arc to it so that the front and back of the block create a little more friction on the sanding surface. It's also a hard durable rubber (or at least that's what I think it is), so it's softer to hold onto that a piece of wood, and it seems like it would last a long time. Lastly, it has "teeth" on both sides of the sanding block that grab onto the sandpaper. That's really nice. Then you don't even need to worry about using the sticky back of sandpaper. The sandpaper holds really well.

3M rubber sanding block, wood working works well

I have been wood working for many years. 3M rubber sanding block, wood working works well. I now have arthritis in my hands and recently started using a Premium rubber sanding block and like it even more. Note: It is more flexible when you lift the edges. And the sand paper slides in and stays put just as well as the 3M block. A better fit for me now. Happy sanding, Carin

Great quality and nice weight

Nice and heavy, nice flat bottom/sanding surface. I bought one at "that cheap tool store" and it feels too light, gripping surface is too smooth/slippery, and the bottom surface was wavy. This 3M sanding block is way better quality. And the material/ rubber its made of is easy to hold and grip. Not slippery at all. 4 stars only because the molding on sides was a little irregular. That wont affect the performance, just maybe the life of the block down the road .

Poor quality disappointed in 3M

I have never been so disappointed in a 3M product. Wears out very quickly. Very poor lifespan.

Always handy

Had one but after moving house, mislaid it. It’s here somewhere, but as i have had it years time for a new one. This feels nice and grippy in the hand, and also hold the pepper well. Good value, and should last if i dont mislay it agin.

Its a rubber sanding block.

Its heavy and awkward to load but held onto the sandpaper well. Seems like a decent product. I used it for a small amount of time but imagine it would hold up for bigger projects.
