Surface Mount

I purchased these light for a 1999 jayco 12 UDK Pop Up Camper. The ones on there previously are discontinued, they wrapped around the rear end. I am very happy with these tho they are very bright and offer a great replacement. Size ( L x W x D ) are great too. On the driver side a license plate holder is included which will need to be mounted separately but the tail light itself provides a white light at the bottom which illuminates the plates, also a good way to identify which light goes where ( tip) check the bottom white square at the bottom of light means driver side. Mounting lights... These lights come with bolts NOT SCREWS in my case wanting to mount them to the back of the trailer not the bumper I couldn't use the bolts. Work around... 4 small screws hold the red plastic case to black frame I removed those screws and removed the red plastic ( a small red square on the side will come off to take note of how it comes off to make sure you replace it the same way ) with that removed you will see the lights and a clear plastic holding lights there are 4 small screws holding that to black frame carefully remove. Now you are able to screw black frame to your location of choice. I placed the screws close to the small screws holding the clear plastic ( CHECK TO ENSURE LIGHT ARE FUNCTIONING ) then carefully pushed the wires back in replaced the clear plastic with lights, replaced the small red square that came off taking note how it came off ( one side should have a small tab ) replace the rest of the red plastic cover and stand back and give yourself a pat on the back. All was good until it wasn't

Lights were in/out of the water 3 times and the left light is already out.

Upgrade to LED.

These were a little wider than the ones that came on the "shorlandr" jet ski trailer. They poke past the mounting bracket and aren't fully covered by the step mount so be careful if you have kids that crawl on everything. They still work after submerged and have enough wire to do the job and even double back for the lights on the side. I should have paid extra for the LED version of these lights since I plan on keeping it for a long time.

One light does not work properly.

The lights matched the old ones I was replacing; however, after installing the lights, which was very easy, the left side light was not working properly. For example, when my head lights were put on the it did not work (the right side was fine), when left blinker was put on the emergency light, although very light/low was activated, etc. I even tried didn't connections to my truck, to no avail. I would like to return them BUT it is not worth the effort. UPDATE: I changed my rating to 5 because I believe I did not have the ground wire secured sufficiently! I took the lights off the trailer, connected the white/ground wires to the white/ground wire on the plug and everything worked fine! I'm assuming when I subsequently put the lights back on the trailer (which is not at my home) and secure the ground wires properly, they will be fine! I apologize for the initial low rating!

Arrived on time and easy to install

Arrived on time and easy to install. I did not use any of the wire or connectors, because the wire is very small gauge and the connectors will never hold up over time. If you don't solder, liquid tape, and heat shrink connections you will always be working on lights. However, the lights are the a good price and cheaper than you can buy at a brick a mortar store.

Entirely adequate

Don’t know about water resistance. Good product for the money. Needed better and more clips to secure wire to trailer frame.

Do NoT Buy This!

First off, I realize this is a very cheap product. I bought them to be a temporary fix on my boat trailer. So, I had an idea of what I would get. What came though was not in any way what was advertised. This is advertised as a submersible trailer light that has a waterproof capsule the lights are in. Wrong! It is just a standard tail light. The wiring that came with it is to tiny to carry the amperage of an incandescent bulb and way too short for even my 16-foot boat trailer. When I go to mount the lights with the provided carriage bolts, the cheap thin plastic strips out before the bolts are even close to tight. So then, I was stuck. I couldn't tighten them, nor could I loosen them to take them back off. I ended up having to just force them off and break what was left of the light. Off to a brick and mortar store to purchase a set because I needed them right then. I ended up just throwing away the rest instead of trying to ship them back. Which is, I suppose< what they figure you will do anyway. A waste of good money. Don't do what I did. Spend a bit more money up front and get a good set to begin with. Blazer makes some great lights. These just aren't.

Good lights, bad wiring

The lights working fine but I add to by new wiring. The wiring included is not standard and do not connect to standard wiring from the car.

Nice and bright

I have not yet installed the lights but remotely connected them up to the back of my truck. The install looks extremely easy. The lights are very bright in sun daylight. So far I’m very pleased.

Very Good.

Kit was easy to install..instructions were clear and simple..excellent quality for the price. Everything works great. This was the first time I have ever wired a trailer, so definitely not a pro. Took me less than an hour.

Not really submersible at all

We purchased these lights for our boat trailer as the ones we had were old and no longer keeping the water out. The first time we used them the bulbs blew. We thought perhaps they were faulty bulbs so we replaced the bulbs and the same thing happened. They should not state they are submersible if they are not! What good are lights on a boat trailer if you can't put your boat in the water without blowing the bulbs? Really disappointed!
