I purchased the unit in 2010 and upper spring broke. So I contacted Amazon/ToolTopia to get the spair part. This is what ToolTopia wrote back to me: .................. "Thank you for contacting ToolTopia! Unfortunately we will be unable to provide this item for you." .............. I make no further comments, you be the judge!

top springs are almost impossible to adjust. outside of that it works fine.

poorly packaged, piece also missing
I purchased the Tornado 11 Electric Paint Shaker , the product was shipped to East Granby CT and on-forward to Australia where I live. The product came in a very large box with next to no packaging which meant all the support arms were loose and had been moving around at will during transit, not very happy about that. The box came intact with no damage yet upon opening and asembling the top of the unit there was meant to be two handles with 5/16" threads that screw the very top bar into the side uprights yet I only received one in the box, again very unprofessional. As for the shaker it works fine and operates as per the recommendations , yes I bought a bolt to fit the thread pattern. The packaing I would rate 2 out of ten simply for the box it was put in.

A Much Needed Tool
My experience was good, ordering it, receiving it. Packaging was a little on the poor side, surprised that parts weren't missing. I used it first for a project using spray cans. I caught the shaker before it vibrated off the work bench. It appears that spray cans do not have enough weight to keep it from vibrating across the the work bench top. Did not experience that with pints, quarts or gallons. about the 5th or 6th time I used it, the T-Handle came unscrewed from the threaded stem. Needs better Loctite or a jam nut to prevent this from reoccurring, I went with better Loctite. All in all, I am glad I purchased it and have no regrets, good product .

Works Well
This works pretty well, you have to make sure that your paint can is very secure before turning it on lest it shoot out. We like it.

I KNOW they know their springs break easily and quickly
Do NOT...I repeat...DO NOT PURCHASE THE BLAIR TORNADO 51000!!! It is apparent most of the reviews on here were written shortly after receipt of the product and after only a few uses. We purchased this and after 3 weeks, a spring broke. Then another one broke, and then another. We had to rush order replacement springs at our expense because we couldn't afford to send it back to be fixed by the manufacturer or replaced by National Tool because it would take 3 weeks to send it back and get the replacement. Over 8 weeks we had to purchase 18 springs to keep it going, replacing one spring at a time (hundreds of $$). We finally broke down and bought a real paint shaker (Red Devil). They are obviously buying these springs from China and after speaking to Blair, I KNOW they know their springs break easily and quickly. They will not give you a new shaker, just offer to let you send it in and have it fixed (a one month old product). RUN from Blair and their chintzy, disposable products!!!

Tornado Li Electric Paint Shaker
I've been looking for an electric paint shaker for years. Finally, I found this model at Amazon (thank you!). I've used it only a few times so far, but I'm favorably impressed. Its quality is actually industrial grade (try to find that at the consumer level these days), and it does what it's supposed to do. A well made machine, and I recommend it highly.
