Wow buy a different brand

First I’ll start with the color this is NOT Tan this is yellow. Second BlackHawk’s quality has really gone down. I have a Blackhawk OD Green & Black Shemagh from 2004 and it is nice and thick you can’t see through it. So I figured I would pick up a Tan & Black along with another OD Green & Black. This material is cheap and see through. These things are garbage compared to there old ones and other brands on the market now.

Great Item

I have say some people have complained about the size not being exact. Yes this material is thin and yes this item might not be exactly 42' x 42', but I don't care and I didn't measure! The weave is tight and it was made to protect against the element associated with heat. I have spent months looking up Shemaughs and Blackhawk had the best reviews. Most Shemaughs (other brands) had crazy comments about smell, holes, and stains. Blackhawks didn't. I had a chance to look at some of the other competitor's shemaughs and they seemed fine at the local military surplus store, but it was not in the color I wanted (olive drab and black). When it comes to buying items I have not personally seen, I will always trust Blackhawk. Amazon Price ($13.91) is a bit high, but I bought the shemaugh through K.M. Outfitters ($7.88) and they were extreme fast (prices as of November 27, 2013). Other shemaughs were about as cheap, but Blackhawk has quality over quantity mindset, but if you play your cards right you can get almost as cheap as the other one. Good shemagh for the moeny

Having had good experiences with Blackhawk products in the past, I bought the coyote tan shemagh for it's all-purpose use in various outdoor activities. The tan is definitely darker than pictured on the website, which leads me to believe that the od green one would be darker as well. It comes packaged in a heavy-duty clear plastic pouch with ziplock-style zipper which is nice for when you need to pack it and want to keep it dry. The material is very durable and rip-resistant, but requires hand washing and hang-drying. It is big enough that it fits my extra-large head without issues in any wrapping style. It is surprisingly warm as well and will be great for activities where I'm out in the wind as the layering effect when wrapping it is very effective at blocking air flow. All in all, it's a nice product. My only gripe is that it is made in Pakistan. For the price you pay, I'd expect an American-Made product.

No worries

I've read a lot of reviews concerning shemaughs and their are some awful reviews out there. It made me nervous purchasing this online. I worried for nothing. As soon as I received the shemaugh I was checking for odd odors looking for stains and loose ends and checking to see if I could see through the material or if it was too small to fit around my head. All of these things I had read about in multiple reviews and I'm happy to say I found none of that to be true. I got exactly what I was hoping for a big piece of brownish cloth with some black design on it that i use to keep the sun off my head. I'll be buying another in the near future.

the truth about the product

You get what you pay for. There's not much to say other than it does the job it was designed for. The measurements are not perfect and the stitching isn't perfect but its HAND MADE so there will always be imperfections an I'm not much of a perfectionist cause like I said it does the job it was intended to. Used on my last backpacking trip and kept my neck really warm! Cleaning: just make sure as soon as you get this product, hand wash it with mild detergent and hang dry. Will bleed a little the first couple washes but after that it was fine. it softens up and feels even more comfortable

As expected, definitely NOT colorfast

As described and definitely better quality than some others. Is a thin cotton material but some others are super thin. The color is definitely NOT set in and I thought the water would never run clean. That is my only complaint, I wish they would be colorfast. I see no reason for them to NOT be colorfast. I read up on a process that is supposed to help make it colorfast so I will try it but it will suck if the color bleeds at every wash and yes I hand washed in cold water. I believe to colorfast they say to add salt and vinegar to the water so I guess I will try that. If anyone has a better tip please let me know. Thanks! Now to learn how to put this thing on lol

I purchased to wear while doing yard work or outdoor activities. I wear this one when out most often. The color is very nice and feel is comfy. Stitching holds well.

Great Shemaugh!!

Nice item, well made and thicker and softer than many offered online, stands up in the wash also. Many cheaper shemaughs will lose threads, this more mil spec. Pay a bit more, it's worth it.

Imitacion.

Me dieron gato por liebre, no es original, por que es muy fácil cambiarla por otra que no es original, ademas en la etiqueta del empaque dice Hecho en pakistan, en el producto dice: Hecho en china y esta en español, y en la descripcion dice que es de U.S.A, demas se puede abrir fácil y no hay un sello de garantía o algo así.

Buena compra

Llego antes de tiempo, la calidad de la shemagh es muy buena esta muy suave y bordada por el precio esta bien ya que hay otras que son de baja calidad, la recomiendo .
