does the job

It’s pretty much as basic as it gets, but if you just need a quick and easy way to make coffee in a small space, this works great. I will say (for any potential buyers) that it takes regular-sized coffee filters, despite being so small, and that the coffee output for a full pot is about 2.5 regular-sized coffee mugs. Auto-shutoff and a longer cord would be nice (the cord is very short, maybe 2”); also, a previous reviewer said that you could pour coffee while it was brewing and it wouldn’t drip, but I didn’t find this to be true. I poured some while it was brewing, and it just continued pouring coffee onto the heating element and made a mess.

Very Simple and Straightforward

I really appreciate the simple on off switch and easy simple operation of this. I am not a fan of electronics early in the morning and a simple coffee pot hits the spot for my cup of caffeinated goodness!

good coffee maker, lid way too large

This is a nice coffee maker- makes the coffee pretty quickly. But the one dislike I have is that the lid is way too large. I have the coffee maker under the kitchen cabinets but have to pull it all the way out to lift the lid so that it will dry out. The lid material does not dry very well which is a condition for mold to grow. I only make one cup of coffee at a time, so despite not wanting to switch it may be time for the Keurig :(

Good, reliable, standard, coffee pot

If you’re someone (like me) who enjoys still drinking coffee from the pot- this one is a great one to choose! It works well, and lasts forever.

Loved it until...

Bought this in July 2021 and have loved it's simplicity! This morning (February 2023), the on/off switch was frozen in the 'off' position, and immovable.

Best cheap coffee maker around

This is the best inexpensive drip coffee maker I've owned. Better than Mr. Coffee. The ergonomics of the basket and water faucet are ideal. Even the on/off switch feels sturdy.

Great Product

Perfect coffee maker that makes delicious coffee. Brews super fast. Has lighted on/off switch. Mine arrived in just a few days. Would highly recommend it!

Works great, would recommend!

Husband has been using this for a few months now as he wanted a separate coffee blend in the morning. It is easy to use and makes about 2 mugs worth of coffee. Does not have an automatic shut off but that is fine since he just switches off the warming plate as he pours his second cup. It does have a slightly smaller basket size that you could buy different filters for but it's not really necessary. We just use the regular size basket filters squished a little bit and have never had any problems with grounds escaping. Works perfectly for its intended purpose.

Perfect Little Coffee Maker

The media could not be loaded. Title says it all. I got tired of the taste of my Keurig Coffee and I wanted to return to a drip coffee. I live alone and have no use for a large 12-cup Coffee Maker, so the Black & Decker 5-Cup is ideal for me. The 5-Cup Coffee Maker is a great space-saving product as its compact size barely takes up room on my counter top and can be easily tucked away. I have had this for several months now and the coffee still comes out nice, hot and tasty. My only minor gripe is that when you try to switch it off, it shifts easily because it is so light once all the water/coffee is removed. Pretty much 9.5/10, I would recommend this product.

Not bad

Ok, I made a mistake, did not read well enough and thought this would be a 12 cup jug, it's 5, but there are only 2 of us so I am keeping it. I do miss the anti drip when you remove jug while it's filling, just getting used to waiting for it to finish now. All in all it makes coffee, it looks ok and it works well. I don't need more than that.

Perfect size

Excellent space saver for limited counter area ( eg. RV, small apartment etc) and for one or two people who drink less coffee......and simple to use
