Simple to use, but with all the bells and whistles you'll need.

This kitchen scale is really great- better than our (not naming it) expensive scale from 4 years back. Using official brass weights, we see our old one was off (sometimes 60g!) when measuring dry ingredients like flours and starches. Sometimes off when weighing liquids, too. That's a big nope when feeding a sourdough starter or even making bread dough in a cool, dry environment (or even a warm, humid one). We like accuracy for some things. The small footprint and low profile is so much appreciated, as we can put it into a drawer or on a sliding rack alongside pot lids. The scale's pull-out display is a really fantastic feature, too. Just put the med to large mixing bowl right onto thew scale. No more weighing ingredients one-by-one in a small bowl and then adding to the larger mixing bowl, then replacing the small bowl and Tare-ing out, rinse, repeat... But back to the calibration! I had been down on myself for losing my dough mojo for the past 4 years, when I hadn't had issues before with the same flour, same house (but bulky countertop scale). Turns out, it's the improper amount I've been using due to that old scale. Now, I got my dough mojo back; my sourdough starter has come back to life, and my breads and other baked goods are not over floury. ;) Great item from Oxo.

Excellent design.

This scale works with all kinds of bowls. Fantastic display that can be pulled away from base for oversized containers when tarring. Excellent scale.

Wonderful little scale

This scale is limited to five pounds and seems very accurate. Which was fine because I mostly used the old scale to weigh out 1+lb portions of ground beef and not much else. My wife was unhappy because she would have preferred getting a old timey styled scale but I actually prefer the compactness of this choice. This just stores so much easier. I really couldn't justify spending more on the larger scale when my weighing needs really don't go beyond five pounds.

Excellent kitchen scale

Easy to use when measuring ingredients for cooking/baking. Display is bright and easy to read with a choice of different readouts. Allows you to zero out the weight of the container for easy measuring.

Packaging servings

I used for making hamburgers, steaks myself from bulk pack to freeze. Will do the same this fall for freezing veggies from garden.

Perfect size for typical kitchen tasks

Easy interface to turn on/off and change units of measure. Platform size is large enough for our large bowls or sauce pans and the pullout display means we can always read the weight. Seems very accurate when I weigh/tare/weigh the same item multiple times.

Superb, but for the dead batteries

This unit is a replacement for another Oxo Scale that I wore out! This scale is great. When it has fresh batteries, it goes right to work. HOWEVER when I opened the sealed box today, unwrapped the included batteries and installed them, all that showed up on the display was "LO." So I uninstalled them, checked that they had been put in correctly, and again, "LO." So I pulled out fresh batteries from the household supply, and happily all is good again. POINT OFF FOR INCLUDING DEAD BATTERIES! I am otherwise a happy OXO customer.

Fantastic product

Worth every penny, best scales I have ever owned

DO NOT BUY!

I’ve only had this product for three (3) months and in that time I’ve already had to change the batteries four (4) times. At first I thought it was my batteries, so I purchased new ones and the same thing happened again and again. The battery gauge also never showed a full charge. I only used the scales one or two times a week so it’s not from overuse. It could have simply been a dud, but I think it’s simply a cheap and nasty product. I only bought it because I needed one urgently, otherwise I would have never purchased it.

Solid & easy to use

My only complaint about these scales is that they only display the weight to the nearest gram, which is occasionally an issue when weighing very small quantities (like yeast when baking). Apart from that everything about these scales is great! The controls are intuitive and responsive. The design is stable and durable. Being able to pull out the screen really helps if weighing ingredients in a large bowl or container.

The pull-out read-out makes this easy to use as does the one touch reset to zero feature for adding ingredients to mixing bowls and containers on the scale.
