Nice Cheese Cloth

First off, this is a coarse weave cheese cloth, not fine weave, and as such this is a great value... other than that not too much to say about this cheese cloth. I like it, it works just fine, cleans up really well and it's unbleached. The cloth is a good price, especially when you factor in the free shipping / free shipping eligible on this product. And for the cheese makers giving negative reviews, read the description please.... -Green Seal of Approval - no bleach is used to make this product -Lint free for dusting and cleaning of furniture, windows and cars -Can be used in the kitchen for steaming, straining, basting, poaching, canning, cleaning and as a spice bag -2 square yards per package IT DOES NOT SAY IT'S TO BE USED FOR CHEESE MAKING!

This is all worth the price

I mostly use cheese clothe for wrapping herbs in dishes like corned beef.

Does what cheesecloth needs to do, always keep a pack in the kitchen cupboard for all my cheesecloth needs.

Surprisingly Effective

At first I thought this cheesecloth was going to be far too loosely woven to do an effective job of straining the homemade vegetable stock I make on a monthly basis. It is rustic mix of vegetables, herbs, and spices that I usually have to strain at least three times. This cheesecloth was surprisingly strong and effectively strained my stock to the clear consistency I desired.

However it is nicely natural.

The mesh is so loose and widely spaced that i was unable to use it for the purpose i bought it for. However it is nicely natural.

It's okay

It's alright, I haven't used it for any major kitchen work yet but when i first washed the cloth it sort of crumbled into a big lump, but i guess bc of its material. I would have purchased the indiviual nut bags had i known this big piece of cheesecloth is a bit inconvenient to use and clean. Oh well, at least it's made from good material

Works!

Used this to make paneer and it worked perfectly! I love that it is unbleached as well. Also good for draining/thickening homemade pumpkin purée.
