I'm sure, just as I was, you're reading reading this review debating between this faucet or spending a few more dollars on a Perlick. Good for you. You're doing your research. I can genuinely appreciate that. Well, let me give you some of my reasons behind buying this faucet instead: 1. You can lock it. Yes, maybe you don't have teenagers now, but if you have kids, they will be teenagers eventually (God willing). At present, there are no good locking options for Perlick faucets. 2. As to the above, the stock crome-plated brass beer faucet that came with my kegerator lasted 10+ years before it started to wear significantly, so I was buying for the future on this one (cleaning and lubrication go a long way). 3. If you are needing several faucets, the savings add up exponentially. Think about that. 4. It has not gotten "stuck" since I installed it. I cannot say that my last faucet performed the same. If I went for several days without pouring a beer from the kegerator, it would undoubtedly be "frozen" (sticky). I cannot say the same about this faucet. The current keg is a fruit beer, so I can only assume this would be the most susceptible scenario for a faucet to "stick", yet no troubles even days between pours. In fact, surprisingly smooth. One aspect I can't speak to is pitting. I read a review that stated the finish on their faucet pitted badly within two years. If that happens to me, I will definitely update this review. My kegerator is in a quasi climate controlled garage. If it's going to happen, it will happen on my setup. I will for sure update this review if it does. ETA: 3+ years in my garage with minimal climate control and finish is fine. Not sure what other reviewers with that problem we're talking about. Acid rain maybe?

Absolutely needed the gooseneck design, but it sticks.

For the common 2-tap towers, it is a super tight fit and I was struggling to find a quality shank with a gooseneck end in order to fit. The shape ended up fitting perfectly and made it far easier to install than my previous tap. The main bummer is that if you don't use the tap for a day, it sticks. and if you don't use it for 2 or more days, it sticks more. Granted, for the price compared to what you *can* spend, (and given that even reviews for much more expensive ones include people who say that they stick), I'm not too too fussed. I'd rather have it stick than leak (which I've seen reviews on various products with that complaint), if given the choice.

Great tap valve replacement!! It doesn't leak and no O- rings!

Father is Law bought me a beautiful Kegerator 15 months ago and it has been great except for the tap valve. Constant leaks requiring O-ring replacements and leaking (drip, drip) making a mess. Read the description on Amazon and bought this tap last week (March 26, 2016) and it arrived in two days. It is simpler than the original Kegerator tap, fits beaufifully with no other parts required. It is very well engineered and constructed with a beautiful grade of stainless steel, it has fewer seals and I did not need the coil spring that was inside the original tap valve. The tap has an very positive feel and seal to the mechanism, it "pops" open smoothly when you pull the tap lever, and you can feel it pop securely closed. It feels professional! If you have had drips and O-ring issues you HAVE to try this. I love it and I feel confident I can leave on a trip and my IPA is not leaking at home!

Since buying these faucets, I have dispensed several 5 gallon kegs. These are the first faucets I have ever owned so, I have nothing to compare them to. But, I have had zero problems and am very pleased. Disassembly is very basic and allows for easy cleaning. There are a few dribbles after each pour but, that is to be expected. I have never had any issue with them leaking or gumming up. I have one or two beers a night and I have been cleaning them once a month.

Ordered two, not the same product.

Very tempted to give a 1 star review, however we purchased 2 and are happy with one, hence the 3 stars. A couple weeks ago we purchased one of these faucets and we're happy with it. Decided to purchase another (our perlick faucets started leaking and it is near impossible to find the right o-rings). When I took the new one apart to clean it I found the stainless bevel was replaced with a nylon washer, just one more place for issues to occur, what a bummer!!! On top of that it has an ugly Kegco imprint on the side (however this I could live with). Very disappointed to receive two different items that should have been the same.

This was a replacement for my original keg tap.. ( which lasted only 2 weeks).. This Stainless steel one is much better and better quality.. Chances are, if you by a new kegorator , you will need this replacement tap soon after.

Cleared Up Everything

I like it, old tap was corroded, and leaving beer contaminated. Instead of wasting time on rebuild, use this and happy. Still new however. first keg.

I wanted a stainless steel faucet. I got a chrome plated one (and damaged at that). You can see in the picture of the faucet, there's a chrome plating fleck rising inside the nozzle. Box also came damaged. When the price is too good to be true, it usually means that it is.
