High quality corner clamps -- worth the price.
I owned two of the ws-3 Bessey clamps, and bought these two so I'd have a proper set. I misunderstood the size of the ws-6 clamps, however, finding out they were a good two times the size of the ws-3's when I took them out of the box. But besides being significantly beefier than the ws-3, the ws-6 has a much larger notch to rest the second piece of wood on for a simple butt joint. Also, on the ws-6 it's clear whether both of pieces of wood are flush at the bottom whereas with the ws-3 you can only see one piece of the wood hitting the surface, making it a lot more difficult to know that the bottom of the joint is flush. I dropped the extra money for another ws-6's and will sell off my ws-3's. The ws-6 is such a better clamp there's no point in keeping the smaller ones. So will these make your joints 90 degrees? I created a frame using 2x4 studs with one side being 96" and the other 24", and after measuring the corners they were off by 1/16". It's up to you to decide what an acceptable deviation is, but I think these clamps do the job pretty nicely.

Good Clamp with a Lot of Nice Features
This Bessey WS-3 Angle Clamp has the ability to clamp different widths of material at 90 degrees while the user turns only one knob (the red handle). I have used it while making drawers and it works! I can clamp the ½ inch sides to the ¾ front with no trouble and it allows me to clamp overlay fronts (½ to ¼ inch of the drawer front extends beyond the sides) and it holds the workpieces tightly. No wiggle once this clamp is tightened up. As you clamp the workpiece be aware that the body of the clamp moves - unlike the clamps with two handles (or knobs) that screw in to hold the pieces at 90 degrees. This movement can be disconcerting the first time, but once you realize it is there it is no problem to control. The sides of the clamp are painted and slick so the stock will move inside the jaws easily before the clamping pressure is set; however, this also allows you to easily make small adjustments in the position of the stock. Some users may want to glue sandpaper onto the jaws but I think I will leave it as is because once the clamp pressure is set the wood goes nowhere. Not cheap, but worth the price in usefulness and ease of use. I cannot find a way to secure it to a bench or piece of wood that could be clamped to a bench. AD2

Works really well for making picture frames
Update: moved and lost my clamps ordered new one because I like this brand and style of clamp for picture frames. I hate making picture frames, girlfriend decided I needed to make picture frames for one of her canvas projects. In the past I would use a strap type clamp and had mixed results keeping every corner in alignment and square while wrestling with four corner brackets and a floppy strap. Decided to go to my favorite brand of clamp to see what was available for making picture frames. Decided on this clamp based upon my success with other Bessey clamps. Picture frame turned out perfect with very little effort, clamps securely hold the corners in alignment allowing me to put a brad in place with an air nailer. Glue up and assembly less than five minutes. Well worth the investment, looked at the lower priced clamps and decided to spend the extra money on a clamp brand I have used in the past and trust.

I wish I could give 6 stars
I have dozens of clamps and magnetic corners, so I was a bit hesitant to spend so much for another clamp (I already had two cheaper clamps and all sizes of magnetic clamps). However, the magnetic devices don't hold the angle rigid, and as the weld cools, it always pulls the joint slightly out of square (which needs to be fixed before continuing). In fact, I usually just tacked the joints until they were right, and then did the full weld. And the cheaper right angle clamps take lots of time to align, and their definition of "square" falls short of mine. So I paid a premium for this clamp, hoping to fix the shortcomings. Like almost all welders, I need to make lots of square joints, and this clamp really pays off. The Bessey is MUCH faster than any other clamp or support I have used (it takes about 20 seconds to set up a secure and square T or miter joint that is flat. And it holds the pieces completely rigid - no need to make a tack - just weld. I weld two surfaces, reverse the piece in the clamp and weld the other two (you really don't need to clamp again, but it holds the piece above the welding table). The exposed area is adequate to allow good access and coverage by TIG, MIG or stick welding right into the corners - some clamps make it impossible to finish the weld right to the edges while in the clamp. The right angle is dead on, and the joints are very flat. You will find yourself going to this all the time - my productivity would drop dramatically without it.

Works.
I inquired at a local welding supply company and when they told me it was special order, would take two weeks to get, and then the price.... it was almost two hundred dollars more. They gave me a quote as I "had to think about it" and when I went to my truck I went on Amazon.... I was shocked at the price. I will also say that other companies sell it for a price that is close to Amazon, but I do have a prime account, so free shipping tipped the scale for me--- otherwise I had a handful of places that had it in stock to buy from. I will say that I can understand a local supply house that stocks the item to sell it for near retail, but with that they were almost double the retail price--- that is completely unacceptable and disturbing at the same time. Again, if they would have had it in stock or been able to get it within a few days for a close price--- I would have supported them. As far as the product, it is what it is--- it holds two pieces at a right angle and working primarily with 3" square tubing this was my first choice and it does the trick perfectly!

You get what you pay for.
Great product. True 90° fit up. It's like having an extra set of hands. Once you've used real bessy clamps you won't waste your money on anything less.

This is an essential tool for welders of all stripes: professional or DIYs
This is simply a good piece of kit. I was using welding magnets before I bought this baby and they are a real pain. The Bessey welding clamp improved the quality of my work 200%. It gets your pieces at perfect right angles in seconds and you can tack it all around to ensure that nothing warps or bends on the final weld. Worth every penny. I bought two.

Caro pero efectivo
Vale la pena si se desea tener un trabajo bien hecho, el tornillo de cobre evita que se le pegue metal fundido. Es robusta y de calidad pero cara.
