Not as quiet as I'd hoped, but working out
I only have two complaints with the BELLA (14753) 1.7 Liter Electric Tea Kettle: 1) After two uses, the noise level increased tremendously. I'm using filtered water, so its not scale (especially after only two uses). I don't know why it has become so loud but it still does the job, so we just try to use it when we don't mind the noise. 2) If you try to refill it using a refrigerator's in-door water-filter system, you will not get this kettle close enough to fill it. Either the lid gets in the way or the spout causes the water to shoot back out (even with removing the little screen). We've been filling a glass pitcher and refilling the kettle from it.

Good Kettle But…
So I bought this as a gift for my mom for Christmas. She absolutely loved the kettle and used it every day. She actually loved it so much that she got another one as a gift for a friend. I only gave it 4 stars though because after only 10 months it suddenly stopped working. She would switch it on but nothing would happen. I reached out to the manufacturer as it has a two year warranty and they made it quite the process of jumping through hoops just to get a refund. I called the manufacturer Made by Gather (aka Bella), their customer service representatives are very friendly and nice. They immediately gave me a warranty ticket number and said unfortunately the same kettle was not available to send a replacement, but offered me a refund check. I gave them my email address to start the warranty process (November 4th). In the email they asked for a copy of the receipt, a picture of the silver sticker on the kettle, and a video with narration demonstrating the issue. I sent them everything they requested and 2 days later I got an email acknowledgment and another request from them of a picture showing the kettle with the cord cut and clearly visible (sent November 16th), then crickets. I called them on December 7th asking for the status of my warranty claim and when I could expect my promised refund check. The service representative apologized, said that they had received my email with the photo but that it somehow fell through the cracks. I was assured that my refund check would now be processed and I should expect it in 4-6 weeks, I said that seemed a bit excessive but was then assured it wouldn’t actually take that long. I finally received my refund check yesterday, January 11th and I honestly count myself lucky I even received it at all as they wrote the wrong city in my address. So as much as my mom loved the kettle (I even got her a newer model to replace it), the entire warranty process was just ridiculous!

Significantly improved
Bought the same jug as this one at Walmart 10 years ago. After using it for 4 years, it was damaged due to accidentally getting water into the electrical part. Later, I bought two kinds of stainless steel pots, both of which are called food-grade stainless steel and will not rust. But it starts to rust soon after use, and it can only be thrown away when the rust is serious. I saw this kind of pot recently, and I still bought another one to use. Comparing the two pots before and after, there has been a significant improvement. 1. The former lid is only designed with a protrusion inside to prevent the lid from falling when pouring water, and you must pay attention to the direction when you put the lid on. Now it is improved to add a silicone sealing ring, which is more sealed and also solves the problem of falling. Please ask the manufacturer to adjust the sealing ring a little looser, the current one is too tight and inconvenient. 2. The top cover of the steam pipe in the pot is now stainless steel, and no rust has been found. 3. The bottom of the stainless steel pot, the former has been used for a long time and has a little rust, which has not been found yet. 4. The price has not changed, I bought it in September last year. The 1.2-liter one is the same price as the one you bought at Walmart 10 years ago, $39.99.

Great gift
My granddaughter loves it, it was a great gift for her small house. She uses it all the time. She said it works great to heat water for soups

It boils the water fast
I use it every morning to boil my water to make hot tea. It’s fast so I don’t have to wait around and it’s nice to look at.

Doesn’t boil as quickly as others
I don’t know if there are different versions of this kettle but mine is significantly slower to boil than my families and mine is brand new! But it looks amazing.

The most stylish kettle you’ll own
We’ve been using this ceramic kettle for a few years with no problems. Still works like new and is beautiful on the countertop. It has withstood the test of time with multiple teens making hot chocolate (we all know their proclivity for breaking pretty things). We all love the kettle and while it is a little heavy when full, unless you have reason not to be lifting, it’s quite manageable.

Beautiful but broken
This is a beautiful ceramic kettle that much of my family & friends have envied since I bought it. It heats up quick & because of the ceramic it stays hot long, so if you forget to pour your cuppa right away (like most moms) it’s still usable when you go back to it. Unfortunately mine broke a year & a half into it, if just stopped turning on. For $70 I’d have liked it to last longer than my $10 one from Walmart (that lasted 7 years!). Disappointing, as it’s so beautiful, but I can’t bring myself to spend that much on a kettle a second time so shortly after the first purchase.
