Don't blow over $100.00 on another crimper.
I have very thin, fine, straight hair. I started shopping the Valoom rootie, which was getting a lot of great reviews. It sounded good in theory but I figured I'd spend $20.00 to see if the process works for me before committing. It does. It basically keeps your hair from being flat against your head by the end of the day. You have to play with it a bit to get what you want. If you start too close to the root, your hair sticks out like dog ears. If you don't get in far enough under the top layer, the crimps are visible. I use the lowest setting, count 1 Mississippi, and go down 3 sections. That leaves my ends untouched so undamaged from heat. I really can't see the $130.00 iron being any better. It's just a small crimper. Spend another $7.00 at a department store getting a few clamps, then go buy yourself a great pair of shoes.

Gave My Fine Hair Texture & Lift
I’ve been a “Bed Head” fan since high school, when my hair was long, shiny & I didn’t appreciate it (lol) & that was a looong time ago! Things have changed. My hair is baby fine & not as thick as it was (thanks, genetics!). Although I’d used many of their shampoo/conditioner duos & styling products, I’d never tried a Bed Head styling tool. My hair doesn’t have much natural body, so when I saw the “Little Tease Crimper”, I knew it was what my roots needed! I used as directed on lower heat. (Prior to crimping I used heat protectant & a root volumizing spray, which I believe helped.) I crimped my roots in layers & am excited to say this gave me the lift I was looking for! I’ve gone overboard a few times & crimped my whole head, which gave me interesting texture to work with, but it would probably be best if I purchased the larger crimper for that, ha. I highly recommend this if you need a lift!

If you hate your fine hair, BUY THIS!
I have very fine/thin straight hair. Like my actual strand is super fine and I also have been experiencing some hairloss so there is not much to work with, plus its straight to boot. I found this product and I don't know how to stress this, but if have ever felt like you hate your fine/thin stringy, flat hair. If you were like me, embarrassed to wear your hair down because you can't get any volume because it just lays flat on your head. Honey, RUN do not walk and go ahead and add this to cart pronto! I use this just at my root and lemme tell you. This gives me SO much volume!!! I section a very small portion of hair all around my part at the crown. Don't crimp this section. Crimp all under that section as close to root as possible, for a few sections below your sectioned piece. Also I only crimp maybe 2 times going down because I don't want the crimped waves to show. Then you let that uncrimped section down over those crimped volumized pieces and girrrrrrrrl, you got you some major volume! I don't like back combing/teasing my hair, but depending on how much volume you're looking for you could give it even more umph. Highly, highly recommend. This has boosted my confidence and my hair game! Stop reading and buy it already ;P

Loved..at first
I loved at first because it did give my hair volume however even on medium and then low heat, I started to notice hair was falling out. I saw it on the counter and floor but I always lose strands so didn’t think anything of it. Then after a few weeks input my hair up into a messy bun and saw all the breakage (because you only use this crimped under the hair for volume). Oh my goodness exactly where it was crimping was all broken off. So much damage. But it was happening little by little and it’s been cold so I hadn’t worn my hair up in a while. Sad to say, it’s going in the garbage. No hot tool should cause that kind of breakage on low heat on hair that has product on it for protection and though I don’t do hair anymore and am a teacher, I am a licensed hair stylist. I would never use this product on a client or myself or family member because the volume isn’t worth the hair breakage. Shame too since it’s a great idea in theory

Works so well!
This changed my life! I have a lot of hair but super fine texture so my hair looks really flat and lifeless if I don't style it. This thing is so easy to use and makes a crazy difference. I prefer this to using tons of product because product can build up over time or make my hair look greasy the next day so that I have to prematurely wash it. However if I want even more body for a special night out or an event, I'll use this and finish with the VERB volume and texture spray. 10/10 combo, but I love having the option to only use this crimper and have my hair still feel soft and product-free and with no heavy product scents. I use the Iron Guard heat protectant spray from CHI to protect my hair.

Best secret for major volume!
Section off all the hair on top of your head and secure with a clip. Crimp the rest right at the root with the mini crimper. Let the top section down to cover the crimping and you have fabulous volume that looks like naturally thick hair. And it lasts until you shampoo it out. I have one at home and one that stays in my luggage, so that I’m never without it!

Love it but a few cons
Adds much needed volume at the roots and crown to my extremely fine, thin and lifeless straight hair. I’ve learned quickly to part my hair the way I want it when finished styling. Then use clips to section off the hair around the part and only crimp the surrounding hair. Then release the hair part perimeter and use my fingers and incorporate the hair and add life without crimp being visible or noticeable. But imo it has a few cons: the dial for temperature selection is awful! It’s very easily bumped or accidentally touched causing extremely uneven temperature and thinking the Crimper is broken. You really need to squeeze it closed for proper use and results. Lastly the price is absolutely ridiculous! Before this exact product trended on social media it was priced under $20. Now it’s at least 3 times the original price.

I use it to add body.
I have very thick hair and I wear it in a sleek bob. The heaviness of my hair tends to pull my hair down flat. My hairdresser showed me a little trick to lift up the hair in a few sections above the ear and crimp horizontally close to the scalp. It works really well to add some fullness framing the face and the hair from the top of my head covers the little bit of crimping I do leaving the top nice and smooth with some body.

Really Good, Liked it a lot
As a first time crimper user, this was really great. It is a bit narrow for what I needed to use it for however it worked very well and with heat protectant spray, I had no complaints. I gave it one less star because the packaging looked like someone had tried to open it prior and failed. Also after using once, the crimper would not close properly and the waves were not aligning when I was using it. There was also uneven crimping which I attribute to the misalignment. I had to use my hand to close the other end. I would order this again, but it's no longer prime-eligible. I wish there was a larger ceramic version but hopefully in the future there will be! (So far I only see a chrome version)

Si la recomiendo, obviamente es para dar volumen al cabello entonces tienes que hacerlo en capas que no sean las mas visibles y da un volumen increible que puedes construir a tu gusto si prefieres mucho o poco volumen y REALMENTE dura dias. Le compre una a mi mama tambien, porque le gusto como me quedaba a mi y por genetica tenemos muy poquito cabello y esta herramienta deja el cabello padrisimo.

I love this crimper
I love this crimper. My friend bought it, and I liked the results so I bought a similar cheaper one but it wasn't good at all. This one is well worth the money. I use it at my roots for volume and it lasts a very long time. I only wash my hair twice a week, and I like that I can just use this rather than tease my hair every day.
