Hands free motion light bar

I use this motion light bar in my closet. The back is magnetic so I can put it on the inside of my door handle. I love that it’s motion censored, and that it lights up my closet well without having to install a light in there. There have been a couple of occasions where the light would turn on when the closet door is closed and no one‘s in the closet but for the most part, it works like it’s supposed to. I also like that it’s bright, but not too bright.

Really convenient

This light bar is really helpful. My daughter's closet can be a little dark. This illuminates it quite a bit. It was easy to install and she likes that it is easy to remove too. This is motion-detected and lights up whenever she walks into her closet. You can adjust the brightness and she said the charge has lasted a long while.

GE Quality Shines Through – Great Handy Light

I expect anything with the GE name to deliver, and this light does not disappoint. There are lots of choices for these “in-cabinet” type lights… or anywhere you need some light without an outlet. But the features on this one – especially battery duration – are well worth the price. Foremost, the motion sensor is a great feature. Most of these types of lights must be manually activated. With this feature, you can enjoy an automatic light anytime you open the cabinet door or move near the light. But do note, while there is an option to turn the light constantly on at either full or low brightness (rather than rely on the motion sensor), the switch to do this is not terribly easy to access (it’s a small switch on the end of the unit, with 4 setting choices). In other words, once it’s mounted, this light is not convenient to just flip on and off when needed. So if you have a location in mind where the motion sensor won’t work (e.g., because there’s other motion it will sense that you don’t want to activate the light), then I’d suggest a different brand or model that just has a convenient on/off option. For me, I mounted the light at the top of a wire-rack shelf in my pantry supply closet – so it’s great that every time I open the pantry door, the light pops on right away (see photo). I tested the duration and am really impressed. After fully charging the light, I turned it on at full brightness. It lasted 5 hours and 50 minutes. And what I really like is that it doesn’t just slowly get dimmer and dimmer and dimmer like almost every other LED light out there. Instead, it maintains its brightness and then just shuts off when the battery needs recharging. And recharging is quick. Nearly 6 hours of continuous light at the bright level means it will last a long time between charges when just used as a “quickie” light for reaching into a dark cabinet or shelf. There are multiple ways to mount this light. It has built-in magnets on the back, so I mounted mine right to the wire-rack shelf. It comes with two self-stick, steel plates that you can place anywhere non-magnetic to still mount the light using the magnets. Or you can hang the light from the built-in end-hook (which folds away when not in use), or by a provided lanyard that you can clip onto the end of the light. If I could make the light even better, I do have two suggestions. The motion sensor faces the same direction as the light. But in many cases, you will want the light to shine in a different direction than where the motion is occurring – such as into the dark cabinet while you’re opening the cabinet door. But if you point the light into the cabinet, the motion sensor will be pointed in that direction too (and never activate). It would be really nice if you could swivel the motion sensor in various positions away from the light direction to maximize application options. The light also stays on for only 30 seconds after activated. I wish there were adjustments to allow for the light to stay on longer. But it’s still a great light… GE quality through and through.

Game changer under my kitchen sink

My cabinet underneath the kitchen sink is packed with cleaners, bags, etc and a bit of a cavern that's hard to find anything in. This light is insanely awesome! I was able to use the magnets to attach it to the bottom of my sink. Easy to pull out when it needs to be charged occasionally. The battery lasts a VERY long time and doesn't need to be charged very often. The motion sensor is very sensitive and has never failed to turn on when the cabinet door is opened. The only think I could think of for improvement is a slightly warmer color temperature, it's a fairly cold temperature, like fluorescent lights.

My sensor broke

I like it is Rechargeable Battery-Powered, the light is so bright but you can set it at a lower brightness mode. set it at auto mode but it lights up itself when I am sleeping, so creepy, Maybe there's something wrong with the sensors.

Portable and bright

This light bar came well packaged, and looked stylish. It came partially charged, so I recharged it fully before use. I liked the mounting options (hanging it by its hook or strap that came with it, or using the included hardware for magnetic mounting). I ended up doing the magnetic mounting, and the magnets held it in place very tightly. Even though this was a small and portable light bar, the light it emitted was pretty bright. The settings were off, on, low light motion sensing, and high light motion sensing. So far this light bar has been working as expected, but I found its slider to be slightly uncomfortable and stiff, causing me to have to apply extra pressure to move it.

Bright, easy to use, small

I ordered this for a spot in my closet that is really dark. I have a walk in closet, with a light, but the light only reaches one half of the closet, well. This is perfect. It's small, but bright. It's easy to mount, and easy to charge. I set it to the motion sense, so it turns on when I open the closet. It holds the charge for a long time. I haven't had to charge it yet, and I've been using it for over a month.
