Work well but not as bright as I had hoped.
I wanted something I could put on the top of a floating wall between the kitchen and great room. The wall is about 8 feet high, with three or four feet between it and the ceiling. I bought the base unit and this extension kit to give me four strips total. The IR receiver was annoying since that makes it impossible to totally hide these, but I at least found a relatively unobtrusive spot for it. The color is good, with a nice variety, and the pulsing options that cycle through all the shades is neat. But it's not as bright as I had hoped. I wanted something that reflected well off of the white ceiling above it to give me a little light in the great room when it's night time out and I didn't want full lighting turned on. And it does illuminate the space well enough to get around with all the rest of the lights off when it's dark out, but I had wanted a little more light than I got. And this is with the extension kit giving me four strips, not just the two that come with the main package. But for the price, while it doesn't do as well as I had hoped, it certainly does a good job and is a great way to give either some mood lighting, or in my instance, supplemental night lighting. The red option works great since it is so much easier on the eyes at night. If this were put under cabinets or something, where there's not a lot of space between it and the surface opposite of it, they would appear much brighter, so in those applications these would be outstanding. But in a little more spacious area, you won't get as much brightness. My kit was perfectly snug for the connections between the cables and strips, I didn't have any looseness at all, so these were easy to add to the originals and secure.

attractive, easy to install, color somewhat variable
I got the basic kit plus two extension packs. I connected them so that I have two one foot strips, then one foot extension, another two strips, another one foot extension, and a final two strips for 8 feet total. They all operate off the same remote, which came with the basic kit. I really love the selection of colors and the selection of fading, flashing, or just one color. Strangely, however, with six one foot strips connected together, I notice that some of the strips are slightly different colors. These colors are related to the color chosen but as much as one button away on the color gradient of the remote control. If I were pickier or had them in a location where the strips themselves were more visible, I would want one single color choice to be exactly the same on all the strips and not merely closely related. Where I am using them, the lights themselves are hidden, and the light on the illuminated objects blends together fairly well.

Great price
Very bright, easy to install. This is in our car inside our dog crates. Useful at night so we don't have to turn on the overhead lights to check on the dogs. We moved the sensor to the front seat so we can use the remote with it easily. My only complaint is that the red light stopped working after about 6months of usage. When I switch to red, the lights shut off. Kind of annoying but I guess you get what you pay for.

Pricey but very nice
I bought two of these sets, plus some additional individual components, for mounting under our kitchen cabinets. My wife wanted more task lighting and I thought the colored lights would look cool. We both got exactly what we wanted! The LEDs give plenty of white light especially on their brightest setting. The choice of colors is quite impressive ... there is a color that matches pretty much any mood or situation. Some of the preset change patterns are a little too much (the fastest flashing changes might even trigger a migraine for some people), but the slowest "gentle" transition gets the most use in our home. All of friends and family that have seen these LEDs in action have vowed to buy some for their own homes. The prices, especially for the components, seem kind of high for what you get, but overall we have been very satisfied.

just what I needed
I purchased 4 sets of these to attach to the back of my TV. They provide an awesome glow for the room while watching tv. 1 thing I have noticed, the colors of the lights are slightly different based on the orientation of the lights IE. horizontal as opposed to vertical. If they are all facing the same direction you don't notice a color difference. In other words the lights on the top and bottom sides of the TV have a slightly different look to the strips on the sides of the TV. Not a huge deal, but something to be aware of.

Concerned
This is the second multi-colored led light kit I've purchased and while the first one is working just fine, the new one failed to work out of the box. I've contacted the company and told them of the problem but I have not received a response. Hopefully they will respond and take care of the problem as I really like the functionality and versatility of this light system.

Very bright, but buy the kit first.
This item is an extension for the kit that I bought, which contained the power source and remote. These LED strips are very bright, and include a wide range of colors. The colors and brightness can be changed using the remote, which is NOT included in this package. Again, that is in the Kit package,PPA OLSHARGB Home Accent Multicolor LED Lighting Kit . These lights get surprisingly bright, and are an excellent way to add some flare to a room.

Like it says
Works like they said I made my own extension to place it where I wanted it under my counter and it worked great we use all the time because of course they are LED lights and don't take much power to use which is a plus. Recommend it to anyone have fun with it friends love it I got one for the back of my Television also will but more to some other places I have in mind.
