Beautiful!

I decided on this for the floor of our large walk-in shower unsteady of one of the cheaper types of mat. It looks great! It's made very well, doesn't alip at all, and should last a long time. Very pleased with this purchase!

Nice and comfortable

Bought this Teak shower mat a month ago. We are very pleased ???? with it. As others have commented that the teak oil bleeds.. it wasn't that bad and washed off the shower floor easily. The mat doesn't move under your feet. The mat is comfortable and non-slippery. It restores my confidence to get in the shower without fear of slipping. Cleans easily because It doesn't collect much hair in the feet on the bottom of the mat. Highly recommended if you have slippery floors in your bathroom or shower.

Solid and great looking

My daughter moved into a new apartment and the showers was in pretty rough shape. I got her this as an apartment housewarming gift. She loves it and says it makes her shower feel like a spa. It’s nice because you aren’t standing in a puddle of water like you do when you have just a regular shower mat. Great for a temporary apartment to feel a little cleaner.

COMFORTABLE AND WELL MADE

The teak shower grates we installed are very comfortable and have good appearance. The edges of each slat are rounded and smooth. These teak grates are very well constructed, reinforced on the bottom sides and with several rubber feet to help keep the grates in place.

EXCELLENT product in every respect!

I have used this teak mat daily for more than two months, and it is a complete godsend. Here's the story. I have a high-quality walk-in shower with a seat at the end opposite the water controls and shower head. The only problem with the shower installation is that the floor can become slippery. When I installed a new water softener—a necessity in this region with water high in lime content—the possibility of slipping and falling became more pronounced. I started to look for a solution, and eventually found this teak mat. It is a perfect solution, and here's why: 1. I measured carefully, and this fits the floor of my shower perfectly, with just enough spare room to lift the mat when I need to. MEASURING CAREFULLY is the secret. The published dimensions are accurate. 2. This mat is extremely well made of clear wood. All the wood components are cut to exact length and machined so that there are no rough edges and no possibility of splintering. They are sanded to perfection. 3. All the lumber is of the proper thickness (3/4", or "1-x") to provide a sturdy weight-bearing platform, including the several supporting members on the bottom of the mat. 4. The screws are all stainless steel, and of the correct gauge and length. All screws are installed straight and true from the bottom. 5. There is adequate drainage space between the members of the mat, and the pattern in which they are installed is attractive. 6. The final finish is well-applied. To be sure, the user needs to use some teak oil to maintain the finish from time to time, but this is true of any wood product used in a moist environment. I've oiled mine once, and it took less than 10 minutes. 7. My shower is well drained and the bathroom well ventilated. The mat dries quickly (within less than an hour), and I have yet to see any hint of mold of any sort (believe me, I check!). That's one of the benefits of teak in general. 8. Unlike a few other reviewers, I have seen no signs whatsoever of staining from this mat, and my shower is light in color. No stains. Zero. Nada. Zip. 9. The mat is comfortable underfoot, and not at all slippery while still being easy to stand and move on. The people who make this mat are clearly professional woodworkers, careful with their work, and proud of what they produce. Their pride is justified. While this mat costs a bit more than some others here on Amazon or elsewhere on- or off-line, you get what you pay for. I have no question whatsoever that I made the right choice with this teak mat, and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

You Need This Bare Decor Giza Shower Mat

Our shower in the new apartment is great, except the shower floor is very slippery. I've had shower mats made of rubber and other stuff that just got nasty over time. I found this one, read the reviews and said yeah, get it. I love it, close my eyes, look up at the rain shower head, feel the wood on my feet and I feel like I'm on vacation in some exotic location. It's holding up great after a month, just rinse it off top and bottom when I'm done with the shower and it looks new next time. Buy it if you have a slipper shower or just want to improve the looks of the shower!

Beautiful wooden mat for a shower.

Our bathroom was remodelled, and I purchased this mat, along with a teak bench, and also teak soap dishes, for the shower. This wooden mat, if you can consider it that, is fantastic for in front of the shower. It's not damaged from drops of water or wet feet, but it keeps you off the tile and prevents you from slipping when you are towelling off. It also dries much faster than a fabric mat, and it is very easy to wipe it off with a cloth, as well as pick it up to vacuum and wipe beneath it, without having to factor in the extra laundry. I have received MANY compliments on this teak mat so far. All of the contractors that have been through the house have asked about it and comment how much they love this teak wood. We have porcelain tile floor that is made to look like wood planks, and this compliments the tile wonderfully. It is very functional and beautiful, and I am extremely pleased with this purchase. The teak soap dishes I purchased were also from this same company Bare Decor, and they are also beautiful. I would not hesitate to recommend this.
