My husband loved them
My husband who is a drummer loved these Vic Firth drumsticks.

Bam!
I am only a beginner. With that being said I only practice on a pad. I have never broken one yet even after hitting everything else but the pad. Arrived quickly and without damage

Feels good man.
These are my second pair of sticks ever. I'm a beginner and the first pair I had were made by Donner. The Donner sticks felt cheap in my hand and while they were fine to practice with, I was ready for some nice feeling sticks. Feels good man.

Work great I guess
This is my first pair for drumsticks since I just started taking lessons so I don’t have much to compare too but they work great for me.

Great sticks, but intended for acoustic drums
I needed to replace the sticks that came with my Alesis e-drums five years ago, so I looked up the drum kit to see what sticks are currently shipped with it. Vic Firth 5A is a great stick - very evenly balanced and never, EVER warped - but I’m finding these a little longer and heavier than I like for the e-kit. Still, I’m a big fan of Vic Firth lumber and will continue to use them on both my electronic and acoustic drums.

Easy to use, comfortable!
Bought my Vic Firth 5As back in August of 2022, and they've still held up well! Definitely recommend these drum sticks for beginners, as they are easy to use, and they fit comfortably in your hand even if you have small hands like me. Trying to hold the sticks in the correct grip? Put your thumb on the handy American flag and wrap the rest of your fingers around the stick. Easy to use, easy to manage, and as long as you don't beat your drum with it like a maniac, they will last a long time! If you do beat your drum with it... you might need more of them!

Pretty good
They aren't the best if you're tryna do rolls, see if you wanted to do rolls I'd get sticks with a ball tip, overall I've used them for a while and they still aren't broken, but I do recommend getting a more bigger pair than what I got, unless you aren't really doing big big band stuff.

Yup yup puy puy
So I stupidly bought these drunk one night. (Yes I did need them) but here's my story... Ordering a new set of back up sticks.. What's the one thing every drummer knows? Sticks come in pairs. What did this guy do? He saw "quantity 1" and thought oh... They must be sold singular. I better put in 2. Anyway less than a week later BAM! NOW I HAVE 2 OF THESE GOLDEN FLAVOURED RAM STACK STICK BOYS All jokes aside, that is my tale. I will be adapting it into a novel. Buy do you will. Sticks good are they

Brilliant drum sticks
The Vic Firth 5A Wood tip is the “go to” drumsticks that I recommend to my students. They’re well made and feel great in the hands, always well matched and balanced. Whether you’re new to drumming or have been playing for a long time you cannot go wrong with these great sticks. They’re an excellent place to start, if they’re too thin/thick/long/short then you can easily move onto other sizes to find what you’re looking for. I really believe it’s worth investing in a good quality pair like the Vic Firths rather than buying the cheaper sticks as these feel so great.

Dubious....
I bought these just to see if the price was too good to be true, if they were indeed the real deal. I also bought a pair of 5As from a reputable High Street reseller on the same. I have to say, the sticks which arrived from the online purchase are definitely different to the ones bought in person. These sticks are lighter in weight and lack balance, compared to the others. They’re even lighter in colour (even allowing for shade variations in a natural wood product). I’m reluctant to use these while gigging now, as I have concerns over their durability. I’ll definitely pay the little extra (plus petrol and parking) to buy from the High Street retailer in future. These just don’t feel right to me.

Definitely buy these over Vic Firth's Nova series
Definitely glad I got another pair of these over the Vic Firth Nova Series. For a few extra pounds these are simply so much better. What are the main differences? Well, the one that's most prominent is the feel in the hand. The Novas have a very silky, cheap type of feel. These feel well, more like wood than the Novas ever did, and the texture in the hand resembles higher quality wood more than the Novas and this ultimately leads to a better grip. They feel better weighted and oddly somewhat lighter than the Novas I had too, which I for one am a fan of. Ultimately, the Novas are there for "B-grade Wood", and considering two pairs have broken on me in 7 months, one of these just in the past two weeks alone on my E-Drums leads me to question why it's not worth the upgrade. Anyways, I haven't had these long enough yet to tell if they will last, but I will be sure to edit my review if they break in the not too-distant future. Based on my experience over the past couple of days though, I'd recommend these.

Kids get on much better with these
After watching the little ones using the sticks supplied with their drum set, it was quite obvious something wasn't right. They were not enjoying the kit, so I did a little investigation into something suitable for smaller people/hands. Who would think a stick could make so much difference? Well, I now know a drummer would. It is like night and day ...and our new little drummers would agree.
