Good for Christmas tree
The button is close to the end with the plug, so keep that in mind when considering this product. I was originally planning on plugging the tree into an outlet in the corner, out of reach and out of sight, but had to change the plan when discovering the location of the button along the cord. Otherwise, it works as expected and is useful for turning the tree on and off without having to bend down and unplug it from the wall, and the cord is plenty long.

Good for light use...
I used this on our Christmas tree to turn the lights on and off (instead of putting a plug in and out of a socket). It is not the most sturdy, but it worked fine for this application. If you have an application that requires a lot of use over a sustained period of time, you might want to get something more heavy duty. But for a once a day use for a Christmas tree, this was fine and the price was right.

Great for christmas tree lights or anything that is difficult to access a switch or has to be unplugged like a china hutch light. decent quality and easy to use. It is not grounded and only has two prong.

'Got this for my new office where the lamp plug was behind the desk, and the on'off knob for the lamp was missing. This long cord is perfect and has eliminated the daily turning of the light bulb at the beginning and end of the day.
