Doesn't include screws

Fits my 27-series battery perfectly. The hold down is solid and won't break over the years... the hold down posts are plastic, but thick. These hold downs are much better than metal ones, because metal will corrode and will be difficult to remove. The only problem was that it did not include screws. Frankly, I was surprised. Attwood is an outstanding company and all of their products are well designed. I always choose Attwood when given the choice.

Excellent tray for a boat battery

I have 2 of these in a 1997 Bass Cat boat that have been in there for years. I wanted to add one for my starter battery, it is the same exact tray that I have had my 2 trolling motor batteries in. These are really a good solid tray to keep your batteries in. As many of you know it takes a good hold down to keep a battery in place in a boat due to all the vibrations going across rough water.

Broke before I hit the water.

Put it in, went to tighten the battery and one of the threaded rods snapped. I wanted to love this, no stupid strap to keep tight and maybe it would actually hold the battery tight. Nope she broke and I'm back to a strap down style. I don't know how they expected this to hold an 80lb battery when it broke under hand tension.

Securely mounts and holds the batteries in place

When I replaced my boats batteries I installed two of these battery trays to securely mount the batteries. Size 27 batteries that are deep cycle weigh a lot and the trays keep them securely mounted in the compartment. I certainly do not want batteries moving around in the boat. My old batteries had broken the tie down straps that were used to keep the batteries in place and caused one of the battery terminals to ground out to the metal bracket in the battery compartment. Could have caused a fire, so mounting these trays certainly gives me some peace of mind. Highly recommend.

Size is not accurate.

The height is inaccurate for the product. The picture shows my my battery at 8 1/2” but the restraints will not fit the opening to screw them into. Length and width are accurate but by no means can you lock down a battery that is 8 1/2”.

Fast and easy to install. Good quality plastic.

Fast and easy to install. I used 4 screws with washers to secure the tray in the battery bay. Perfect tray size for 27 series deep cycle battery. Don't overtighten the retaining bolts or they will snap. Recommended.
