Perfect for door glass.
I got this to hang a small black out curtain over the glass cut out in my front door, Instead of trying to cut out a half moon of the window tint you can get at the big box hardware stores. It worked perfectly, It's sturdy, I can pull the curtain around the side all the way to the door to block out light on the side, And most important the magnets are strong.

This actually works for lots of things!
I ordered this to use to hang a privacy curtain on a metal door, but ordered the wrong size. Most fortunately, this will also stick to a washer/dryer which is perfect for drying items that don't do well in your dryer. Very convenient!

Strength and beauty
The rod is wonderful. It hold a heavy drape and spans beyond the width of a standard door. It is made of quality material and has a strong proportionately sized magnet on each end. This was a perfect purchase to insulate my home from a drafty door. Best wishes

Working well in our metal Gazebo
Needed something to hold up some lightweight patio curtains on our gazebo and these fit the bill. Wish they came a little longer as I have to keep them at near max extension and needed to tape them in the middle to keep them from popping apart and dumping the curtains that way but the magnets themselves seem pretty sturdy, just be sure you take off the protective cover when you first put them up. They are a bit on the thin side so heavy curtains may not work.

super strong
There was definitely a cover over the magnet that needs to peel off, then it is good to go. I have an 83inch blackout curtain (one) hanging on each of the two I bought. They are up there to stay, haven't fallen even with sliding the drapes open. I recommend for renter friendly alternative.

AS PER PREVIOUS REVIEWS, YOU MUST PEEL THE PLASTIC BACKING OFF THE MAGNETS IN ORDER TO LET THE MAGNETS GET A FIRM GRIP ON YOUR STEEL DOOR. Once this is done, it will stay firmly in place. I live west of New Orleans. I put the curtain rod and curtain up a month on my new steel door a month before Hurricane Ida hit. I evacuated for Ida and I'm glad I did, because Hurricane Ida blew past our neighborhood with 147 mile per hour winds and the neighbors who stayed described watching their house walls sway with the strength of the wind. My steel door performed perfectly and the curtain rod remained in place! So it is literally true that once the rod is properly placed, a hurricane won't knock it off the door ...
