This is a great vacuum

There's only one thing I don't like about vacuum hose: It's a bitch to find an off-the-shelf adapter to go between the end of the vacuum hose and the dust port on my Milwaukee 5" circular sander. I've had to monkey with several fittings to create a Frankenstein adapter that, while not perfect, does a fair enough job (it has a tendency to slip off when I reach the limit of the Bosch vacuum hose). You'd think Bosch would offer a hose attachment that would work between metric and standard hose ends, especially in the American market. Other than that, this vacuum is a workhorse and does an amazing job handling the fine dust of my sanding (down to 600 grit). It's far more thorough filtering the air than my stationary 6" cyclone vacuum system. Follow-up: I did discover that Bosch had the adapter I was looking for. It works great. So now I don't have any issues with vacuum or using it - period.

It's loud, annoying loud but works great. I have bought an trashed literally dozens of wet vacs, this is the best yet

Not worth the price tag

The auto filter clean button doesn't work. Light home use on small projects. Had it for 7 months when it stopped working. I always use bags but have to listen to the auto clean. Will not hold up in a commercial use scenario.

Great Vaccume for drywall

It cleaned just like advertised. Sanded the dry wall on a complete house, didn't plug up once. The bag held all the dry wall dust. The bag did get a little heavy. The drywall sander plugges into the front of the vacuum and turned on and off with the sander. Recommend it for any dusty job!!

A must have for the serious woodworker

This unit is so much better for containing sawdust in my shop than the wet/dry shop vac I have always used. The smaller hose is perfect for my orbital sander, biscuit joiner, router, etc. The automatic HEPA cleaner is a must to keep the unit at max efficiency. It is considerably quieter than the Craftsman shop vac. Smart design all around.

Disappointing quality

I use a range of Bosch tools and wanted a dust extractor that attached easily. To date, quality was not a concern with Bosch but my experience with their dust changed that. I first purchased the 9 gallon model from another store but it came with the HEPA filter housing latch broken so I returned it before even trying it out. Since this 14 gallon unit was on sale, I thought I would give Bosch a second chance. On this unit, the auto filter cleaner button doesn't work so I am stuck with it always being active. The top handle was also loose and there were some cosmetic scratches that I was willing to overlook but I am really disappointed in the AFC being broken out of the box. I called customer support to ensure it wasn't user error but the confirmed it was a problem with the tool and recommended I return it. Unsure now what to do. This is an expensive tool and seems to otherwise work ok but this experience makes me wonder about the long-term durability.

Poor quality

The pulse function on this particular vacuum did not work effectively and remained on for an unexpected long time cycling on for 30seconds then off for 20 then back on again for 35-40 seconds. This resulted in complete loss of suction. As a previously returned item then resold the obvious problem was not corrected by the manufacturer.

It sucks

It is a very powerful vacuum. However, it is very loud and the AFC (automatic filter cleaner) button didn't work. Requested a new unit, same issue, AFC didn't work. Returned both units. For a vacuum with a $900 price tag I expect that everything works.
