Beast of the RC world
This truck is incredible!! It's super fast right out of the box, and this truck is like a tank it takes a lot and keeps on going!! Love Arrma RCs are the BEST out there!!

Great RC
Amazing RC, better then I expected...one major issue, it states you can use ec5 batteries and that is not true. The car comes with male ic5 and there is no way the female ec5 battery connector will fit. After soldering on an ec5 male connector car is amazing!!!!

The Senton is a tough well designed fast short course 4x4 truck.
This is my second Senton 4x4. I live in a Arizona 55+ community. Our development has a very nice RC Short Course Truck facility with clay/dirt Oval and Road Course tracks. Twice a week 40-60 racers race short course 2wd and 4wd on 2S batteries. I was the first person to show up with an Arrma Senton 4x4 to race. Out of the box the Senton was immediately competitive with the highly upgraded other brands. The other trucks require low center of gravity chassis and about every stock chassis part replaced with RPM after market parts (and new tires) just to run competitively. The local hobby store does a bang up business after every race day replacing broken parts. The Senton on the other hand doesn't break very often. I am still racing my 1st truck after 1 year and have only broken a front A arm. My second truck is a back-up to the first which I haven't needed yet. The speed in straights and 4x4 traction on curves is amazing. The Senton is built like a tank but is very nimble to race. Service from Horizon Hobby has been great. I bought my 2nd truck from Amazon in July of 2022 but didn't open it up till I was in Arizona in October. To my surprise the truck had been used and abused, but I missed my return window to return it to Amazon. I reached out to Arrma (Horizon Hobby) and explained the problem. In a couple of weeks I had a new truck at my door. Good customer service.

From a Non-Expert Users Point of View
TLDR; For a new hobbyist I think the Senton is a great purchase for someone looking for a truck that won't break the bank and will still provide a lot of enjoyment. Is it perfect? No. But I am not sure I have ever bought any product that was perfect. The Senton is easy enough for a new user and between using 2S batteries and throttling it down to 50% via the controller switch it does a good job of taming it for younger use. I don't have a ton of expierience with RC cars like the Senton 3s V3 that I have recently purchased but I will share my opinions based on my use as a driving around the yard rc car. My first RC car I got was a Nitro TMAXX back in the early 2000's. It was a blast and I really enjoyed nitro and at that time electrics just weren't where they are today. I enjoyed it and although I was usually tearing it apart to make upgrades and repairs I always felt that was part of the fun of having a hobbyist grade rc vehicle. Looking to get a new rc car I did some research and decided I wanted to try out arrma and wanted an electric. Nitro's are fun but in my memory were more finicky and messier. With 4 kids and 3 dogs I didn't need more mess and wanted something that I could just take out drive around and be done. The senton has performed admirably. I gave 4 stars overall and on durability because even just driving around in my yard I have already broken the front bumper and a front suspension arm. This doesn't cause me any concern as parts are relatively cheap and given the power these machines have I expect to break things on occasion and both of these parts are ones I would expect to break before lots of other things. The Senton on 3S batteries is fast. VERY FAST! I can't even imagine what the 6S version is like or some of these 8S vehicles although I suppose they are heavier so who knows. One day.

It's a tank
Very fast, very durable, and it handles great. It's a little aggressive though so if you're new to the hobby, drive it carefully lol. On an 80c 3s it's mighty impressive.

What a blast! but rocks and twigs are it's worse enemy.
It goes fast that's forsure, but the battery won't last too long if you want to keep it at 100% power. It's wheelie bar does help at times from keeping it from doing a back flip. Make sure to use it in a large area or you might miscalculate the angle you're in and head towards a tree. One of the screws from the front shock came off and the side plastic on the chassis snapped on one side. Luckily the screw was found and I was able to put the shock back in place. It still runs. It won't budge if it's too hot so you would need to give it some time to cool off. The one thing that is annoying is when a rock or twig gets inside a small hole where the steering rod goes through. It will jam your the steering. I didn't think it would of been too bad since I purchased it knowing of the issue that may happen. Now, I noticed it happens each time I use it off road. It's fun on road, but you won't drift as much because of the traction. The clip retainer rubber last long. It's tough as it is to pull out and I torn 3 out of 4 already. Besides that, don't just bash, BLAST!

extremly fast
Only ran 3 full batteries, however I have rolled and wrecked it more then I care to admit. It will shred soft off road tires on the street(i did this). I have seen many tire complaints.....these are off road tires. IMO this is not a beginner truck, however there is a setting to tone it down, I do believe. running around 50ish yards away no controller issues. I will edit and add photos from phone shortly. I really am impressed with what this thing will do, and I cant wait to get more comfortable driving this thing its a Beast for the money no doubt. Seriously, rolling around 15-20mph I slam the throttle and it will spin tires and lose control very easily. keep in mind this is my first "real" RC car.

Fast
I realize that things break, and 1/10 scale basher cars are going to break when abused, but the CHASSIS, I don't think so, it did smash the shock when I hit the tree, but it didn't break the control arm, or damage the wheel it broke a 2" chunk from the SIDE of the chassis next to the endbell of the motor. I understand the front bumper broken, and the front diff gears damaged, I hit pretty hard. I get the cracked body, NOT THE CHASSIS!!! I won't get another because I don't have enough time or money to sit in the garage fixing the thing, while my friend is running his Rustler, cartwheeling it across the yard after bouncing it off the same tree that wasted my senton. I guess I'm saying it's fragile compared to others IMHO.

Tires are terrible
Awesome truck but tires failed within a few batteries. This needs belted tires which are $100+ so be ready to spend more money right away. My son was disappointed . It should just come with tires that work…. Traxxas does .

4 and 40 Year Old Approved
A couple of guys in my town made an outdoor track in a vacant lot. They mostly run Slashes but I didn’t like the old tech or price of Traxxas. The Senton can definitely hold its own on the rough outdoor track with minimal jumps. The one Losi in the group doesn’t have to try to win but also breaks a lot… I have already upgraded the shocks to the Typhon 6s metal ones, Trencher wheels/ tires, dropped the gearing to 17T and put on a dust cover. In two months, I have probably put 50 battery packs through it. The only major thing that has broke is the center drive shaft because a rock got jammed in it. The bumper support broke the first day but you can use zap straps and some foam to fix it… For maintenance you need to pull the power module out and clean all the dirt that gets jammed in by the spur gear. I also have ordered a bearing kit to replace a few rough sounding bearings. The pivot balls also wore out and I replaced them with Hot Racing ones. Oh, did I mention that my 4 year old son also drives it on a weekly basis…He only gets to rip it on 50% power but still has sent it full on into trees and caused no damage!

Best Bang for your Buck
The media could not be loaded. This is an extremely durable RC truck. I've bashed it pretty hard and sent it over some large BMX jumps and it just keeps going! Thia truck is hard to drive so make use of the throttle limiter switch and start on 50% until you get the hang of it if you're a beginner. It doesn't take long to get used to it at all. Be ready to replace the factory tires especially if you run them on the pavement. Pro-Line makes some great options for these trucks, pre-glued and way more durable than the stockers. Pros: Value compared to competition This truck is faster than the main competitor Durability Cons: Factory tires are very soft and wear quickly Hard to control for beginners
