Great dimmable mini spotlight - Armacost #211125

The Armacost Lighting #211125 Mini LED light works great for lighting my accent wall. I am powering the light with the Armacost #820200 20W dimmable power supply. The power supply's AC cord is plugged into a Lutron Caseta lamp dimmer, which provides on/off and dimming functions via a remote control. The light is installed into the drywall ceiling into a 1 1/4 inch hole cut with a hole saw. The 12VDC light power cable is fished through the ceiling's joist bay across to the other side of the wall, where it comes down through the ceiling in the closet, right against the wall. The LED driver is mounted on the wall close to the ceiling and plugs into the Lutron lamp dimmer, which plugs into a 120V outlet I installed on the opposite side of the accent wall near the ceiling, specifically for powering this light. The light comes with three sets of trim pieces in brushed metal, black, and white. Of the three included trim colors, only the brushed metal mounting flange and eyelid are made from metal. The black and white trim pieces are plastic. The eyelid of the white trim piece is translucent. The glow of the light will be visible through the white plastic. I did not check to see if the black eyelid was translucent. I chose to use the brushed metal trim pieces. The metal eyelid better reflects the light towards the wall. Used with the Lutron Caseta lamp dimmer and the #820200 LED driver, the light dims perfectly. No flicker or buzz. This light is a little more expensive than other similar lights, but well worth the extra cost. I have never been disappointed with Armacost products. I plan to use this light again for other projects.

Stopped working

Bought 2 in August and 1 started blinking in December and then finally stopped working. Had to replace with a new one, the other one is still working fine

Warranty

I tried to contact them on warranty, as I had lights 4 months and one stopped working. There is no way to change a bulb , all one piece. Sad to day they never responded to me. So 2 year warranty does nothing.

Started flashing then melted--- after one year---NOT Metal

One of the four installed Melted. After melting it fell out of vented soffit. At 25 dollars each and descriptions saying it is Metal when it is ALL Plastic. used the Pluspoe Driver which works with Lurton dimmers

Perfect size

This miniature light is only about an inch across, works on 12 volts (you’ll need a transformer) comes with three trim rings (white, black and stainless) Perfect for sinking into a counter top or under a cabinet to light a piece of art or to add interest and drama.Also can be used for toe kicks, RVs, boats, motor homes and commercial lighting projects. Energy-efficient: Each LED puck light uses just 1 -watt, making the puck lights exceptionally energy efficient

Nice quality Mini LED that puts out plenty of light but over priced.

This mini recessed LED light fits in many tight spots that need light. Low power use makes this very efficient given the amount of light output. LED long life means no more burnt out bulbs to replace. East to mount, just drill the correct size hole and the spring loaded clips hold the light in place. Uses 12 Volts so great for RV installations or use a 12 Volt power converter. Cost is too high, other similar LED lights cost less half what this sells for. Lost stars because of high cost.

12/16 failed with armacost xformer. One catastrophic meltdown

Multiple units failed while using armacost dimmable transformer. Warranty replacements failed. Customer smelled smoke and felt that the light was hot. This is what came out. Now pulling all lights out and replacing at my expense.

Pleasently surprised - High quality product

Bought several brands, looking for a quality light for a kitchen pantry. This is not inexpensive, but for our purposes it is exactly what we needed. No issues, lights up like it should. Comes with 3 different trim and eyelid shields.
