Pet Owners Need This
This is a great addition to my at-home pet clean up arsenal. It really can help with dog hair/stains/refresh. In my home, it's not urine or feces. It's vomit. I have a Beagle for whom everything is edible. Follows squirrels around backyard as they dig up their fall "harvest" of nuts. Let's just say that can make a dog sick. Puke. Bought this and got it delivered QUICKLY from Amazon. My impressions: 1. Ease of use- be diligent w/instructions. If you put too thick of a layer down, even brushing won't stop residue on other floor surfaces/vacuum. 2. The odor is pleasant. 3. Stain removal: Not commercial but great for household. It is difficult to remove wet vomit and wait a day for this product. That's why I'm suggesting this as a pet stain/odor removal product that should be at your fingertips, if and when you need it.

Great for Ground-In Pet Hair
We’re struggling with 6 year old carpet, having three dogs and one cat. We’re replacing this carpet this year, but meanwhile — UGH! I’ve tried a ton of cleaning/freshening solutions, but dry powder overall works best to deodorize, while not degrading the backing further. This product in particular is far and away the best at lifting pet hair. It requires that you brush it in, then wait a few hours or more (you’ll see it turn white again when it’s ready). It smells great, but not super perfume-y. I vacuum it up with a shop vac because allergens deep in the carpet are a concern here - but a normal vacuum gets it just fine. I use it in my car, also. I apply it the night before, and then vacuum it up at the car wash the next day. If you’re looking for something to get stains out, this isn’t what you need. It can fade stains by getting rid of sticky dirt, but it’s not going to magically erase spots where the carpet fibers have actually been “dyed”. It doesn’t go very far. This is honestly a pretty spendy solution. You’ll need almost one whole container per room. However, it can be used whenever and makes a huge difference for pet smells and other kinds of lingering “funk.”

Okay for Dog Odor
Purchased for dog odor on a smaller area rug. I didn’t know a big difference. I wouldn’t purchase again.

Smells great
I used this product to try to remove pet stains from my carpet. The first time I used it was on recent urine that had already been cleaned but not quite brought out. It worked great. No problems. Area still smells like the powder almost a week later. The second time I used the powder was on a heavy traffic area for another urine stain that was a bit older and the carpet is very worn. It didn’t work as well and only lightened the stain, didn’t remove it like the last one. It did remove the smell for the time being.

Magic powder, really works
When one of our dogs first developed diabetes, he started having so many accidents in the house (an early warning sign your dog might have diabetes) I was worried the carpets could not be saved. It was so foul, I was looking into the cost of having someone come in and shampoo the whole basement, maybe perform an exorcism too. I’d been scrubbing every spot I could find with Resolve and a carpet brush, but the smell was still overpowering. I decided to get some of this powder before dropping major cash on machinery or professional services and could not be more impressed with the results. I wish the canister had a shaker lid or something, but it worked okay without. I would pour a little at a time by hand and brush it into the carpet, leave it for a bit, and then vacuum. It’s not quick work, but there are no quick solutions for a urine-soaked carpet, and it’s a lot less expensive than anything else I could think of. I am going to keep this stuff in stock for as long as we have pets. Even though my little diabetic dog has regained bladder control, it’s only ever a matter of time before one of the dogs does something gross in the house. Thank god for this stuff!

It doesn’t kill the strong stuff
So it’s winter, and usually when my main area rug gets dirty/stinky I’d just power wash it but with the cold that’s not exactly possible….. I decided to try this to neutralize the smell of 2 dogs and a baby learning to crawl (who happens to have reflux, if you know you know) and it did an OK job. As a quick fix before having family over for the holidays it did fine but within a week the smell returned. I’d definitely buy this again for just normal/light cleaning but when you need to wash your rug/carpet I promise this won’t cut it.

Works, to an extent
Our toddler always seems to spill things ONLY on our rug. If you rub this while the spill is still wet then it is guaranteed to work. It unfortunately didn’t work on any of the older stains. Still a good purchase though

Cleans noticeably.
The non wool runner in front of our sink for years was dingy and dirty. This product made it significantly cleaner but still not bright. I think a carpet cleaning machine would probably do better. But, this was cheap and did make it more presentable. The powder is irritant, would hurt your eyes and airway but I had no problem using it. It does clump and is not really spreadable from the container, other reviewers say that too. I used a sieve with largish holes which I shook over the carpet and then brushed back and forth and left it overnight. It vacuumed off easily. Our outdoor carpet, polypropylene, had an oil stain which looked a bit better after the same treatment.
