Well-Constructed. Kids Say They Like Using Them
My kids are the swimmers, and they say these were comfortable. They were able to swim in the pool and do laps with them fine. I can't tell if they were going much faster as they are really young and aren't competing and just swim leisurely. It fits in their hands, and they can paddle with it. They feel well made and if you're a swimmer they would make a good accessory.

Frustrating Straps
These paddles are just fine. But, it's frustrating forcing the tubing through the tiny holes and figuring out which holes to thread them through. It would be helpful if simple instructions were provided to guide the novice in accomplishing this task, and in the proper use of this swimming tool. My bottom line advice is to read about how to choose paddles first. With belated homework I have discovered that beginners should start with small paddles.

Here’s how to pick the size for these good ‘big’ paddles
Since this is meant to be unisex, it’s difficult to agree that Large would mean the same thing for all genders. I got big hands, so I thought no way I’d need the Medium size, especially if M is a unisex size. I ended up ordering L and they look big, and work as they should. It’s not just arena’s paddles that don’t have an easy to read size chart. If you research images for hand paddles, you will see professional images of swimmers wearing paddles that barely fit their hands and some wear paddles that are huge — each serves a different purpose for training and techniques. These ones are on the bigger side to allow for more resistance for form adjustment and muscle building. It’s easier to decide if you take the measurements of your hand and compare them to the provided chart, and use that to decide on the right size while keeping in mind that these are meant to be big. With that said, I tested these in the water and found them helpful in terms making me feel the strokes and resistance, and also helps with building a better technique in terms if how to glide the hands in the water for free swimming.

Good exercise for this old lady!
OK, I have had zero experience with these before now, so unable to compare them to any others. But I go to senior open swim sessions at my local Y and saw a man using these one day and have thought about getting some. So, here they were! It was hard to determine what size I should get since at the time I ordered there was no size chart provided. But, I decided to go with Medium since with most things to do with hand size, medium is what I usually need. Luckily, I think this is just the right size for me. I definitely wouldn't want even bigger ones, since they would cause even more resistance. And at this point (and age), these give me a sufficient workout. In my photo (please disregard how WIDE this angle on my phone's camera made my hand look!) I laid a measuring tape on top to maybe help others with judging sizes. It would also be helpful for those of us who have never used these before to have a bit of an explanation of how to add and adjust the rubber tubing. I figured it out by looking at other people's photos, but was curious why there was nothing printed on the box about it.

Great Hand Paddles for lap swimming
I ordered the medium size paddles since there is no size chart on the product page. The paddles I received measured to be about 8" x 7" with a 2" hole in the middle. It turns out to be the perfect size for me. The paddle is made of 3mm thick plastic. It comes with 2 long and 2 short rubber tubing laces. There are 5mm holes on the paddles for the laces to go through. You have to string them onto the paddles yourself and I found it is easier to do so when it is wet under the water. I am a lap swimmer and these paddles work great for building up my strength and endurance. The holes in the middle is very useful as it allows my hands to feel the flow of the water to better correct and improve my swimming styles and strokes. The plastic paddles are very sturdy and should last for long time. The tubing laces seem durable too but these could be easily replaced if needed. Overall these are good swimming hand paddles that give me the additional resistance I want in order to build up my strength.

Good Fit
These are good swimming paddles that are sturdy and well-made. I just wish there was something to hold the elastic in place since it sometimes loosens when I'm swimming. Other than that they work perfectly.

Really helps build my strength
This is my first time using equipment such as this, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I don't swim for competition, only for weight loss and health, and because the water is where I find my zen place. After the first use, I could really feel muscles I didn't know existed, so I say that is a win! The tubing is a bit difficult, but I make it work. I'm very happy with my new equipment.
