I purchased this for my 3 gallon fish tank. I’ve had it a couple months. It seems to be working good and for the price you can’t beat it. The same heater was more than double the prayers at Petco. I do wish that it showed the temperature directly on the heater. Excuse my tank. I’m cleaning it tomorrow.

Great for the price
Amazon sells this so much cheaper than at the store. You can't set an exact temp with this, but it's auto set to warm the tank to a tropical temp for your fish without having to juggle it. Plug it in and forget it. It works as advertised and is a good product. I have a 1.5 gal tank, bought the 7.5W heater, it keeps the tank at 78-80F

This thing is dumb
First, it's way bigger than the pictures make it seem. The flat design doesn't actually do anything but take up more blocked real estate on the side of you aquarium. You'd be better off getting a cylindrical heater that will not block out as much view. Other than the ridiculous shape it functions just fine.

Poor quality and received a non functioning product.
I got this product the next. Day. The package was sealed and not damaged. Use the heater for a day. Place my daughter small 2.5 g tank in a colder room, temp is below 20C. Installed in water at night. Left for work came home at end of day. And water was freezing and fish looked horrible. Light barely worked for 24 hours and. Eventually killed my fish. The product is a feat a idea because it’s thin and small. But has no light indicator to show it’s on and it didn’t work. So quality is not there

No calienta
No calienta el agua de mi pecera de 3 galones, se queda en 20° constantes en la ciudad de méxico, casi temperatura ambiente. Tenía pensado el calentador para un beta, pero opté por otros peces que no tuvieran problema con la temperatura por esa razón. No lo recomiendo, mucho menos para peceras de mayor capacidad, tal vez funcione con menos cantidad de agua que 10 litros, pero se me hace muy grande. En conclusión, no cumple su objetivo. _____________ Actualización: Lo probé en un contenedor hospital de un galon (4l), definitivamente no calienta. Necesito que esté en 24°C y se queda en 22°C y lleva hora y media encendido. Para tomar en cuenta.

The Worst
1. It does not heat up when it is in the water. 2. After reviewing other comments, I took it out of the water allowed it to heat up and then placed in back into the water. Not only did it become REALLY flimsy when it heated out of the water, the second it went into the water it cooled down. 3. Using previous points theory, I left half out and half in. The top half is HOT, and then bottom half that is in the water is COLD... 1st off.. HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?! Second... Worst heater ever. 4. I've have to move, what could be saved out of that tank into my bigger tank, but in a breeder box. This is a. not fair to my aquatic life and b. horrible to see my tank lose to many due to a faulty heater. c. YES, I did run out and look for another heater, but I cannot find one that is suitable for this tank size, and did not want to fry them. 5. Just, please.... Do not buy this product... and as for the company, please... Do better. Test your products better, if you don't test them before sale. Also, if you do ever get this worked out... Add an indicator light as well, so we know if it is on or off/ working or not working. Thanks

Inutile pour un 2.5 gallons
Ce chauffe-eau chauffe beaucoup trop dans un 2.5 gallons. Il ne semble pas y avoir un thermostat intégré puisque que mon eau ce maintenait à 29 degré Celsius! Beaucoup trop chaud pour un Betta. Très déçu de mon achat, je ne recommande pas ce produit pour ce type d’aquarium malgré ce qu’en dit la description!

Too hot... 86 degrees in 2.5 gallon tank.
Heated tank to unsafe temperature. Used in a 2.5 gallon aquarium with under-gravel filter. It doesn’t modulate at the correct temperature. It heated the water to a consistent 86 degrees. We now have it on a mechanical timer so it cycles on and off. I won’t purchase any more aqueon products.
