Love my purchases..
My shower chair and mesh arm sling saved my life today. Having rotator cuff surgery, I was put in a very cumbersome all velcro arm sling. And it was hot!!!!! It was designed for a man, I am a small woman. After a week of this and getting my hair tangled in the velcro,I was about to pull my hair out. Living alone and being in pain, makes it hard enough as it is. I can now also sit in my shower and not worry about falling. AMAZON to the rescue again!! Thanks!!!!!!!!

Sturdy enough.
I was hesitant to purchase this item after reading some reviews that questioned the sturdiness of this item. I bought this for my soon-to-be 95-year old mother-in-law. It would not be a good day for her if the seat collapsed under her in the shower. Upon putting the seat together my concerns were not warranted as the seat is plenty sturdy. People need to remember that 1) there is a right way and a wrong way to put the seat together. Components are stamped with either an "A" or a "B" to guide the user as to what goes where and 2) the components are either plastic or aluminum. Both have a certain amount of flexibility to them. What I did was to tighten the five thumb-screws as tightly as I was able. Then I tightened them again and then again once more. I weigh 175-lbs. I sat on the seat, leaned to both sides, forward and back, and then tightened the finger-screws. I then stood on the seat so that all 175-lbs. were on the seat. I shifted my weight to both sides and the middle of the seat. I then tightened the screws again. Each additional tightening resulted in very little incremental tightening as weight applied to the seat melded the plastic and aluminum more closely. I'll keep my eyes on the screws. If they loosen (which I doubt) I'll apply thread-lock to the screws.

Does the job
My husband is just over 6’ with a reconstructed ACL and 2 repaired meniscus.. the stool does the job but it’s not as sturdy as we’d like. For a smaller person I think it’s more suitable.

Safety and Quality
This bench is perfect size. It was easy to assemble and is durable. The seat height is easy to adjust. The feet hold to the shower floor and don't slip. The seat is molded with a no-slip surface and handles on either side make it easy to pick up or hang a wash cloth from. It was a good buy for the money.

Perfect for our needs!
While at our vacation home with my 92 year old mother-in-law, we found that we needed a shower seat to accommodate her. This one was priced right, very easy to assemble, sturdy and it suited our needs perfectly!

Insert CORRECT legs into CORRECT grove in seat!!
I'm laughing at all the people that wrote the negative reviews and especially the ones that attached pictures showing two legs turned inwards and blaming the manufacture for "weak legs" or improperly manufactured product! However, it's kind of a catch 22 situation so let me explain... After receiving mine and being a mechanical contractor for 41yrs now, I quickly opened the box, grabbed all the parts out and like usual, put it together without reading directions because let's face it, they're pictures, not worded directions and after all, how hard could it possibly be to attach 2 sets of legs to the bottom of one plastic seat right? Here's where the catch begins... The directions shows the most obvious thing which is that one set of legs will only fit on top of the other. However, what they "should but don't specify" and happens to be the easiest and biggest mistake to make is the fact that when the correct set of legs are installed in the correct slot, everything turns out perfectly like the engineers intended "BUT" if you're hurrying like I was while thinking to yourself that the legs will only line up and work one way and one way only, there's where everyone's screwed up big time and although it's easy to hold the manufacturer liable since their directions don't specify which set of legs goes in which recessed grove on the bottom of the seat and they def SHOULD, all it takes to figure out if you've got it wrong is a halfway decent set of eyes by looking at one set of legs and easily tell that they are turned inwards and the other set are turned outwards! That's what caught my eye making me realize that there's no structural integrity on legs that lean inwards period but they certainly wouldn't have two leaning in the opposite direction of the other two!! Another dead giveaway is the fact that people are also saying it won't fit inside a standard shower... Guess what, turn your stool upside-down, unscrew both sets of legs and switch legs with each other and tighten the bolts back down again and you'll be totally embarrassed with yourself like I was at first!! All the manufacture needs to do to correct this is assign a number or letter to each set of legs and the corresponding number or letter to the correct grove for that specific set of legs. Then you won't get it wrong to begin with. In other words, you'd have one set with a #1 and down inside the correct grove underneath the seat, you'd have another #1 for that specific set to be mounted in and the other set of legs and groove would have a #2 on them. That's all that's needed to resolve all these liability issues this company is experiencing! And subsequently, that's all the average halfway handyman would need to prevent himself or others from falling or trying to get it to fit inside a standard sized tub but won't!! C'mon guys, you're all smarter than this RIGHT!?!?

super sturdy
really easy to put together.. didn't even need a screwdriver. very sturdy although like others this would not fit crossways in the tub so I had to put it lengthwise and it will have to do. I don't mind bc I feel quite comfortable on it either way. It's very sturdy and feels safe.

Chair will not stay together
Chair legs bowed, bent and broke, would not stay together, had to tighten every day. Only used it a couple of days and it was done. Chair was very comfortable when I first used it, but it just didn't last.
