Amazing
It comes with long hose and very easy to set up. Works better than I expected. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for air bubbles in a pond.

Indoor??Pond Pump??
I guess I am not an engineer as I had not noticed the one schematic shows the pump being placed indoors. Now when I got the box, the diagram clearly indicated to place the pump indoors. It never occurred to me that a "Pond" aerator would need to be indoors. I understand an aquarium pump, yes, but not a pond pump. I don't know many people that have their pond close enough to the house to be able plug it in inside and run the tubing outdoors. Just seems like a company like Aquascape, could have engineered this in some kind of housing that would be rated for outdoors. I liked the pump and the tubing enough to try to rig up something the keep the elements out. I put it in a locking plastic food storage container that has a seal. I did drill two holes for the tubing to go through, so it's not "Waterproof" by any means, but hopefully it will be enough to keep the elements out without it overheating and becoming a fire hazard. I then placed it on a paver under my deck. Hoping this is a viable solution. As far as the pump, it's December in my photos, a week before Christmas on the East Coast. Weather has been mild so far with only a few nights of frost, but my fish are extremely active for this time of year and really seem to like the addition of the airstones. My pond is a little over 300 gallons and 2 foot deep. Air output seems good. I will update later about my solution on keeping the elements out, durability and whether this impedes airflow or causes the device to overheat. ***Update*** we had our first snow storm the aerators did exactly what I wanted and kept my pond from freezing. It's only been a month, but it seems to be ok in the plastic-ware container to protect it from the rain. ***Update *** we had a 2nd winter storm hit. The temps got down in the low teens(which is not very common for our area). The top had ice, but it was a thin sheet & the areas above the aerators had zero ice. Last year, the whole top froze over and was really thick ice. I didn't know if my fish would make it through last year. I don't have to worry about that this year. ***Update*** it's now June, I've had it for 6 months. The food storage container seems to be working at keeping the elements out and it has not had any issues with over-heating in the container. These aerators SAVED MY FISH!!!! I recently came home from work and discovered my submersible pump/filter water return pipe had come loose. It had been circulating muddy water into my pond for who knows how long. While I worked on the filter and doing a partial water change, the aerators worked to keep the oxygen levels high. The extra O2 helped return the pond clarity fast without having a catastrophic change in nitrogen or ammonia levels that would've killed my fish. I am SO SO happy with this product and glad I didn't return it. I had considered a return due to it not having a weatherproof/resistant exterior housing. **April 2023** We've gone through a very mild winter. Our summer last year was crazy hot. The aeration it provides to my pond fish has been terrific through all the seasons. The Rubbermaid container I used has been terrific at keeping the elements out. I am very happy with this product almost 1.5 yrs later, running 24/7, no issues at all.

Active Happy Fish
Aloha: Before installing this aerator my three koi would just huddle in one spot. I have a 90 gallon tank on the ground outside. Anyway, now my koi are actively swimming and exploring their environment. Makes me think of the Disney film Finding Nemo. You know, Dori with her...keep swimming...swimming...swimming.

Exactly what I needed for my koi pond

Air pump
I do keep it covered with a fake rock since it’s not suppose to be exposed to the elements.

Works in deeper areas, needs weights, weather coverage
My pond is deep, it's actually my old swimming pool. I ordered this aerator as it said it would work in deeper waters, something I found others would not do. It has no problem being 5' down. Problem is that the aerator discs, which have to be thrown into my established pond, always land air side down. I use various yard tools to try to flip them over but when I do, they won't stay that way. The bubbles cause them to then stand on their side. I gave up trying and now tie them to bricks so they'll land air side up. The air tubes also float. If you're building a new pond from scratch and can get in and bury these cords under rocks you'll be ok. But in an already established pond, expect to see floating tubes. It ruins the look of everything. I guess the manufacturer never considered that either. I had to tie rocks to mine to keep them submersed. Here's where they lose a point...they claim you have to keep the motor part indoors. Does anyone other than me see the ludicrousness of a pump, designed for outdoor ponds, that has to be indoors? With two air tubes leaving the pump, how are you suppose to close your door/window after placing the pump indoors? What in the world was this manufacturer thinking???? The electrical cord from the pump is the basic 5 or 6' and then there is two 25' of air tubes. My pond is in my backyard, the only door I could place this inside is a set of sliders into my living room, which of course, then won't close due to the two air tubes. The pump makes a noticeable hum that I am uncertain I want to hear...especially if it was inside in my house. I don't like the hum even outside least wise in my living room. Time will tell if I get use to it or it drives me up the wall. So, like many others, I am forced to put the pump outside and then find some sort of contraption to keep it away from the elements. So, all in all, it works. It works in deep water. It is not aesthetically pleasing in established ponds as the tubes float. It will require you find someway to protect the pump from the elements. It is not silent. Manufacturer....put a waterproof housing on it so it can stay outside and include something like plant weights to enable you to keep the tubes off the surface of the pond. How hard would that be???? Edit....the humming noise I heard turned out to be some issue with the pump. I discovered this by accident when turning it over one day and realized that if I held it a certain way it was totally quiet. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a new piece. I have not installed it yet so I can't tell you if it was difficult or hard, but I am keeping the pump upside down to shut it up. edit--it's now been over a year since buying two sets of these. The first set gave me problems from day one with a loud hum that I did not realize was not normal, the second set was quiet. A year later the first set stopped working entirely. I contacted the manufacturer about my 3 year warranty and had no problems making a claim. You must send back the broken unit and it does take a few weeks. I was afraid my fish would die in the interim so purchased a third set of these to hold me. I have had no problem with second or third unit so first one seems to have just been a fluke. Manufacturer sent me a replacement with no issues. I have also run large hardware nuts through the tubing to sink it so it's not so ugly and distracting to see hoses floating. I had to put on a nut, make a large knot in the tubing to keep the nut where I wanted but not a tight knot to block the air, then repeat the rest of the tubing. By laying two nuts near the aerator piece I can now keep them flat on the bottom.

My second set.
Purchased my first one a year ago and it performed perfectly throughout all seasons. Just be sure to cover it if kept outside.

Works Great, Even in Cold Weather
I purchased two of these (4 aerators in total) and placed them at each end of my koi pond. This year I tried something different. Rather than keep the waterfall pump running during cold weather to keep the pond open from ice, I shut off the pump and used only these aerators. We had a week of subzero weather, and the aerators maintained a hole in the ice and the water aerated. Had I kept the waterfall running, thick ice would have formed along the sides of the waterfall requiring me to add water. I did not have to add water this year. The koi remained safe. I checked the amperage of the aerators with and ammeter. Each one uses 4 to 5 watts. Very economical. Very good investment.

Essential component to a pond in summer/winter
Our pond never had an aerator. I ordered this because I was worried about all the algae being produced and how it takes up oxygen. When using a pump to infuse oxygen into the water, the water gets oxygen by exposure to the air, but when the water goes back into the pond, it doesn't go to the deep parts of the pond. As soon as I put the aerators in, my fish started to swim around deeper. It really clears the water up too. We have a pretty big pond, maybe 800 gallons, and two of these seem more than sufficient. You can see all the bubbles at the surface continually moving outward in a spherical manner. The fish love to swim around the stream and even right through the stream. It's very quit too. I have had it running all winter. There was one time it got really cold and the aerator was not able to keep the pond from freezing over, so for people in cold climates, I would still keep a deicer in the pond. The product is pretty durable; I just keep it on a piece of brick near the pond with a plastic Tupperware container to house it, and it has held up in rain, snow, etc. This is the best way to give your fish oxygen - well except in the summer, having tons of plants is vital... but having this in my pond, I'm always rest assured that the fish will never suffocate or be stuck gasping for air at the surface constantly - by the way, if your fish come to the surface and leave a little trail of bubbles, then an aerator is a good idea. You can see the size of my pond in the pics. Update: I've now had the aerator for two and a half years. I should have brought it in for the super cold weather. It all held up pretty good but the plug went through a lot of wear and tear and eventually fell off. I'm hoping I can get a replacement. I think it's my fault though because I left it in negative thirty weather and it froze and cracked. Also one of the aerators froze and partially cracked. Just a warning to consider bringing it in for freezing weather conditions, and reinforcing the outlet part. The housing unit held up under like five feet of ice and snow so its a pretty damn good product.

Easy to install and work perfectly
These aerators are plug and play. It took me less than five minutes to put them in the pond, connect the cord and plug it into my house. And it made many nice bubbles for the Koi. The downside is that the power box has a definite buzzing/humming sound that impacted the silence in my rural backyard. But that’s just me. Other people who visited didn’t think it was a big deal. It’s also possible that my hearing aids make things louder than they really are to a normal hiring person. So overall, I would definitely recommend this product.

It is reliable. Has worked perfectly for four winter seasons.
I purchased this pump kit in 2019. I use it to keep a patch of water clear over the winter months. Winter in southern Ontario usually results in the whole pond area freezing over and being covered in snow. It is essential that I have a reliable pump to keep my 23 (approx.) goldfish alive. It runs 7/24 for about seven months each year. In extreme cold conditions the pond will ice over, but the pump keeps forcing air into the water. In four years I have not lost a single goldfish! The pump is under cover to protect it from moisture, but is outside and subject to all winter temperatures. The only mishap one year was when a mouse chewed through one of the lines, but the remaining line kept going. I now run the lines through a length of garden hose. I intend to use it again next winter, but am concerned that at 5 years I may be pushing my luck. I plan to buy another (without hesitation) and run both together.

Great product
Wonderful product but where is say’s on directions that it is required to stay out of the elements where they expect the pump to be indoors does not work when you live in very cold climate the tubes freeze up because it is getting warm air from inside into cold climate. Ended up storing inside rubbermaid container for winter with some holes to get air but out of snow and rain and it works well
