ok after peg adjustment

As others have indicated, I had the same problem with the pegs on this coat tree, loose, no, droopy would be a better description. Wouldn't hold any weight right out of the box. However, a little wood glue on each peg before screwing them in, let it dry and it's good and solid. As long as you know that going in it's a decent little coat rack for a toddler or kid. just the right size.

Coat rack

This is a good product for the price. I was thrilled to find a children's coat rack that had 6 rungs that was not a "kiddish" type coat rack as I was putting this in my entrance way and I have six children. I like the coat rack a lot and only have one complaint. The bottom rungs are a little too low for coats. If you want to hang hats or something else it would be fine. My four year old's coat hits the floor when on the bottom rung. It was easy to put together. My thirteen year old daughter had it together in minutes.

Peg problem is true

I purchased this kids coat rack to use as a Christmas stocking hanger (we have no mantle). I read all of the reviews and decided that I would use wood glue during assembly to help solve the peg problem everybody talked about. Well, the glue alone does not solve the problem. The problem is that the pegs come with screws on the end. And when you turn the pegs to screw them into the coat rack, they come unscrewed from the peg. So they never tighten, and the pegs end up wobbly and weak. Four of my pegs had this problem. My husband solved the problem by taking the screws out of the four pegs, putting toothpicks in the screw holes, and then screwing the screws back into the pegs. The toothpicks secured the screws well enough that I could then I proceded to add wood glue to the pegs and screw them into the coat rack. Finally, I have a pretty cool stocking-hanger. It is a great height and looks nice. I give this only 2 stars for two reasons: 1. the peg problem I just described; 2. it is easy to see during assembly that the parts are not well fitted.

Great Little Clothes Rack

This has worked great for us. I was looking for something for the kid's play room to hang their dress-up clothes on. One of the pegs did not seem to screw-in right so I just reinforced with a litle glue. For the price, couldn't beat it! Very happy.

OK for little kids

Very easy to assemble, so easy my 7 year old did it! One of the hangers was broken upon arrival but managed to fix it in place with glue! Not made for heavy coats but OK for little children to hang their coats and hats. .

coat rack

The pegs on the rack all were not strong and some did not screw exactly right in the holes. I had to glue them so they would be strong enough to hold heavier items.

Nice Rack for Kids

I bought this rack to hold my children's coats, it works perfectly! The rack stands about 4 ft tall assembled and is the perfect height for a 6 and 4 year old to hang their coats and book bags from school.
