Could be cleaner
Amazon shipped these in an envelope style package because well... It's amazon. None of them were broken, but the box isn't in the greatest shape anymore. Being that this is the first time buying slides for the new microscope I also got on Amazon, I don't know nearly as much as the professionals, but I'll share what I can. The long pieces of glass are nice and clear, and fairly thick. The cover square pieces however are very thin, which I'm guessing is how they're supposed to be but at the same time they do seem pretty brittle. They're also very foggy. I attempted to clean them with plain water as well as alcohol wipes, but they remain foggy. They also seem a little scratchy since when I'm focusing the scope, I can tell when I'm looking at the cover slip.

Not bad for the price.
Arrived with several broken slides. That being said, they were cheaper than some others and they are made of glass so I wasn't too surprised. Even with a few broken ones I wont need to order slides or covers for long time.

Ok. I bought these because I didn’t wanna buy my bookstores slides(they are thick but a bit pricey for a small box without cover slips). These are indeed a bit thin then what I am used to but work fine. Yes.the cover slips and slides are a bit dirty which I find strange. Like did they reuse them or?? But a wash with distilled water and a kimtech wipe does the job if not then I add little liquidnox . I would give it 5 but went with 4 since the slides are packaged nice and affordable but the slides ended up being a bit dirty, which I shouldn’t complain about. I be washing my slides either way.

Good.
A few of the slides came with chips in them. They are still useable. The slide covers are hard to open but none were broken. They were very dirty though and some had very sharp edges. I will still use and buy them!

Best bang for your buck.
I'm impressed by the price and speed I recieved this. I used these slides to detect parasites and planaria in local tap water. The first slide I used had a little dust but otherwise most slides were 95% -99% clean. For detecting parasites and impurities in water I did not find a need to clean the slides. As explained in other reviews the slide covers so stick together quite a but if you have a sanatized desk and gloves it wont be a probelm pulling them apart. Easily clean and reuse slides using ehtanol alcohol 70%.

Box was dirty, dust was on slides, not sure how.
Says it all. Saved a few bucks. and they worked fine for what I needed but if you need fully sterilized slides, pay the extra few dollars from another location. The box i received, seemed to have been stored in a water damaged building or something of the sort.

Don't buy unless you want broken slides
A decent amount of this product came broken and Amazon only allows for returns or exchanges, didn't offer me a refund. It didn't even come shipped in peanuts or bubble wrap. I don't need the broken pieces and can manage with the remaining ones fine, just wanted an easy refund for the trouble. Otherwise the product itself is fine and does the trick. It's hard to mess up simple glass slides but Amazon managed to do it.

DO NOT BUY!!! Worst product I have ever bought on Amazon. Pre-cleaned?, Using dishwater with oil in it?? Dreadful product in totally inadequate packaging. Yes, I do know what I'm talking about, I have 35 years experience as a professional medical and scientific photographer. I did not expect them to be perfect and only wanted them to use for hobby microscope viewing. Having read other people's comments that they had received them in far less than ideal condition, particularly with respect to the cover glasses being stuck together, I assumed the sellers had taken note of this as they came up as 'Amazon's choice'. The glass slides are described as 'pre cleaned': they are filthy and have cracked and missing edges, due to poor manufacturing processes, or the complete lack of adequate packaging. They should have been in bubble wrap to absorb shock to a delicate material, instead, they were in a standard thin, original box sufficient only for selling over the counter, not being transported in a delivery van inside a thin, single skin Amazon envelope pushed through the letterbox! The cover glasses are awful!: Full of distortions and equally as filthy, but, even worse, many are cracked and otherwise damaged. I am fully aware some people may say " You get what you pay for", ....perhaps, BUT, a product is also bound, by law to be'fit for purpose'. The sellers have apparently decided to ignore previous buyer's reviews of this product and failed to rectify the faults noted. I do not intend to contact the sellers to complain: they have obviously taken no notice of other had reviews, so perhaps they will take notice of this! Another reviewer suggested ' suitable for schoolchildren only'.......Only if you are prepared to expose them to lots of virtually invisible bits of sharp, thin glass!

Good value but not the best quality...
Slides are good, they are 1mm thick, pretty sturdy, I have yet to break one and I use them at home, rather rough, washing them in basin, preparing specimen in kitchen etc. Also they come out of the box clean and ready to use. Being fairly thin means they work well at higher resolution as well as with dark field condenser. Cover slips are also very good, very thin as advertised. I have not measured thickness but looks like 0.13mm is the correct measurement. Yet they are also pretty sturdy. I do not use them with care just thinking that I have 22 extra in case I break a few and once I stepped over a cover slip but I'm yet to break one. The only reason that I take one star away is that despite having ground edges, some slides do not have perfectly straight edges. There are waves or ups and downs, though not very obvious but easily noticeable if looked at closely. It is not the case with every slide, some of them are perfectly fine but this should not happen with even one slide in the box (and I have already seen 2). Since this does not effect the use of slides so I don't mind that much but if I have to buy a pack again I'll definitely try some other brand.

Cover slips stuck together
Chose AmScope as it's a brand I've used before and this set seemed good value. Unfortunately Not, due to most of the cover slips being firmly stuck together. I can't imagine why this might happen and separating them without breaking them is very difficult [see photo]. Hope my hoover finds the shard I accidentally dropped before my foot does...

Coverslips no good but slides ok
Microscope slides good but not bevelled on edge like the amscope dimpled slides. Covers slips mostly stuck together in 5 blocks. Tried to take 1 coverslip off and it snapped Can't figure out how to contact seller Update. Seller advised to return all as cannot provide replacement. So, overall product and service now lowered from 3stars to 2 stars.

Avoid if you want coverslips
These were terrible. The cover slips were cloudy and stuck together, impossible to separate without shattering them, totally unusable, had to throw them away and get a different brand. The slides themselves weren't too bad, a bit pock marked but usable. Disappointing for such a big name.
