Great for the price - see pros and cons

I am quite pleased with this flannel. It definitely exceeded my expectations. See below for pros and cons Cons: 1.) It took two washes for the shirt to lose it’s slight itchiness, which I see as a problem because some people might buy one, wash it once, find it slightly itchy and then never wear it again or purchase another (I almost made this mistake). 2.) The buttons are rather small, I strongly prefer larger buttons as they are easier to button/un-button quickly (especially with one hand). They also look a bit cheap. I don’t see upgraded buttons as a major price concession, so I think Amazon could reasonably add better quality/size buttons. 3.) I wish they had more colors/patterns available. I am not a fan of large print plaid, I really wish they had more Tartan plaids in neutral/earthy colors. I see this as a major downfall. PROS: 1.) Very soft after a few washes 2.) The fabric is a nice medium-light weight that drapes well and doesn’t wrinkle. Perfect for moderate weather (50s-70s) or wearing around the house 3.) The stitching is phenomenal, I own about 14 flannels from brands such as Carhartt, Legendary, Levi’s, Columbia, Stillwater Supply, etc, and the stitching on this shirt easily holds its own against those brands, if not exceeding them. I have yet to find a loose thread. 4.) Color held true after several washes, with no pilling of the fabric 5.) The hem is slight and the generous length lends it well to being tucked in (which I strongly prefer) 6.) The cuffs have two buttons for size adjustability (even some of my more expensive flannels do not have this feature) 7.) I am quite pleased with the fitment of this shirt. For a very affordable flannel, the cut/style of it is on par with shirts that cost twice as much I am subtracting a star because the lack of palatable color/pattern choices and the small buttons are a bit of a turn off for me. Definitely recommend and will likely purchase more. You can buy 2-3 of these for the price of just about any name brand.

Good shirt for my money

So, right up front; the 4 star rating is only related to the wrong size that I recieved. I ordered a small and received an extra large. The actual shirt is very nice. The fabric is thick, the shirt is well made without any loose buttons or seams. As things turned out, my husband said I should wash it and if it didn't fit him I should donate it. He thought it was ugly and really didn't want to wear it. After I washed it however, we discovered that the shirt is really sturdy, it fit perfect as the flannel shirt he likes to wear over his t- shirts. We call them (the flannel) his camping and hanging out shirts. He was really happy and said "Thank you for the shirt" Now I don't think I will try to reorder a small because we are not into wearing matching close.

Nice and thick

If you have a long torso like me, I’m about 6 foot one 230 pounds and these shirts fit perfectly. The material seems to be really good quality. The colors are nice. I bought four different colors and they’re all exactly as shown in the pictures. They also keep you really warm. So I wouldn’t recommend them on a hot day. Great shirts great quality good price.

Great price for what you get!

The Amazon Essential plaid shirts are very comfortable and easy to care for. The fit is good and the quality is not bad. They come out of the dryer wrinkle free. The only negative thing I could say about them is that the collar tends to curl up on them. I wish they would have put a button on the collar to keep them from curling up. But, all in all a good shirt for the price.

Nice flannel shirt

For the price this seems to be a pretty good quality shirt. I'm 5,10" and 165lbs. A large fits me comfortably after it was washed.

Good quality flannel

I recently purchased a few of these shirts, and I was impressed with the quality for the price. I often struggle to find shirts that fit my frame comfortably, but this shirt was true to size and felt great to wear. The material is soft and comfortable. It fits well, is made from quality materials, and is a great value for the price.

At first impression the fabric seemed thin, but after multiple washings they have held up well and even become softer. My husband loves them.

Ein sehr schöes, flauschiges und warmes Hemd....

The media could not be loaded. Ergänzung vom 14.12.2021 Da ich die Hemden hier echt super finde, habe ich mir bereits noch ein paar weitere davon bestellt. Und da die Rezensionen der Hemden leider zusammengefasst werden, werde ich meine Rezension lediglich immer um ein paar Fotos ergänzen, damit sie sehen wie sie in echt aussehen....Bisher bin ich nicht enttäuscht worden. Die Ärmel sind um ca 1cm zu lang, aber damit kann ich gut leben... Wer gute und vor allem auch günstige Flanell-Hemden braucht, kommt an diese hier nicht vorbei. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Geliefert wird das Flanell-Hemd von „Amazon-Basics in einem Plastikbeutel, was bei einem Hemd aber auch vollkommen ausreichend ist. So ist es vor Feuchtigkeit geschützt und kann auf dem Transportweg keinen Schaden nehmen. Was ich bei dem Hemd besonders gut finde ist, dass man bei ihm keine einzige Nadel zum zusammenhalten verwendet wurde. Viele andere Hersteller nehmen dafür unendlich viele Nadeln, die man erst umständlich rauspfrimeln muss. Hier wurde das Hemd lediglich zusammengelegt. Auch wenn das nicht gerade professionell gemacht wurde Dieses Hemd ist total flauschig und weich. Es ist sehr angenehm auf der Haut zu tragen. Alle Nähte und Knöpfe sind sauber vernäht. Nirgendwo stehen Fäden heraus. Es wärmt in der kalten Jahreszeit sehr gut. Mir passt das Hemd hervorragend. Ich habe einen leichten Bauchansatz und trage in der Regel großes M mit Kragenweite 39/40. Dieses Hemd in Gr. M sitzt bei mir gut und bequem. Es passt quasi wie angegossen. Es ist am Hals und am Bauch nicht zu weit oder zu eng. Der Kragen sitzt locker und die Ärmel sind auch nicht zu lang oder zu kurz. Was soll ich außer "super" noch sagen? Ich hoffe das sich daran auch nach der ersten Wäsche nichts daran ändern wird. Sollte ich meine Rezension nicht ergänzen, passt es mir auch nach der Wäsche genauso wie vorher auch. Das Einzige was ich zu bemängeln habe ist das das Hemd in Bangladesch gefertigt wurde. Bangladesch ist ein Billiglohnland und für die Ausbeutung von Arbeitnehmern bekannt. Ob das hier der Fall ist kann ich nicht beurteilen und ich werde dies auch nicht tun. Obwohl ich das Herstellungsland nicht mit in die Bewertung einfließen lasse, wollte ich es hier erwähnen. Da ich in meinen Recherchen aber nichts darüber gefunden habe, werde ich erst mal keine Hemden mehr von dieser Marke kaufen, bis ich etwas Gegenteiliges erfahren habe. Vielen Dank das Sie sich die Zeit genommen haben um meine Rezension zu lesen. Ich hoffe das ich Ihnen damit ein wenig behilflich sein konnte.

High quality and performance for the price.

This is a warm, thick cotton check shirt. Perfect for my current largely outdoors/ building/ off grid existence in a central Spanish winter. My sizing is large on a good day, and this has a little slack in it to be able to work whilst covering midriff and kidneys. Sleeves plenty long enough, though mine are always rolled up. Quality is high, given the price - up there with a similar shirt I have in style from Patagonia in terms of both material and workmanship. I will be buying more - in fact the wife insists on it so it stands a chance of getting washed before spring comes!

Lovely material, both warm and cool

I'm 5 foot 10 and around 76 kg, beer belly is smallish, looks like I need to put more work in to my drinking. This shirt fits great - there is room for a more full-bodied gent than me but is not baggy - at least not overly so - flannel shirts are never tight fitting in my experience and this one fits that mould too. The material is really nice - sort of brushed cotton effect which makes it lovely on the touch and quite warm. It will protect against wind easily - you basically won't need a coat other than for show. The blue ombre plaid is a really nice colour - not quite navy blue darkness but still fairly dark. Best shirt I've bought this year - behind the blue/orange ombre plaid one I also bought...

Its exactly like a shirt that people can wear.

It's amazing your arms go right down the sleeves and you can button the cuffs so that they dont dip in your tea and if you want to keep warm, it has buttons all down the front and button holes on the opposite side, who thinks of this stuff. And, as an added bonus, it has a collar that buttons tight so that your head won't fall off on windy days. It also looks cool!

Sizing a Little Large but Great Value

Took a punt on this instead of some preloved branded shirts from Fleabay, not disappointed by this garment in general. Decent quality fabric, nice cut and stitching and I like the fact that it has one breast pocket that's not immediately obvious. (Material not rotated 45° like most other "budget' check shirts - spoils the look for me) Size L is is probably closer to most high street brands XL so keep that in mind. Bought to fit 43/44" chest, I don't mind the fact it's a little more roomy as the cut of the shirt is pretty flattering. Fairly thick fabric is good for 80% of British weather and seems to be holding up well to wearing washing and drying so far.. Decent range of colours and sizes, prime delivery, free returns and not a bad product overall. Can't hurt to try. Surprisingly good value for the money. Just don't think about where it's made and the conditions in the factory...
