Great option for a Samsung refrigerator

The hardest part of the installation was shutting off the water to the refrigerator! I checked under the kitchen sink and found the shut off valve for the water to the fridge. Turned it off, opened the door, and removed the old filter by turning it counter clockwise. Did a visual check to make sure they were the same, removed the over wrap, took off the cap, and screwed the new filter in. Perfect fit! Turned the water back on, ran about a dozed glasses of water from the dispenser to flush any possible carbon dust from the filter, checked for leaks, and was finished. Less than 5 minutes from start to finish. A word (or two) to the wise... Not all refrigerators, including my Samsung, have an auto shutoff valve if you remove the filter. Play it safe, always shut the water off first. Secondly, run plenty of water through to flush the line before you make any ice or drink the water. When you start running the water, there will be air in the line and that can sputter and surge, causing major splashes. Start by bumping the water off and on into a glass until all of the air is our.

Good filter for the money

The filter has been in for just over a month, no leaks or issues with it so far. The filter is decent value for money. The direct Samsung replacements are around 40$ (at least around here) so this one is slightly cheaper. I have yet to compare the taste from this one to the OEM Samsung filer so can't comment on that. Overall though it's made well (although in China) and installs easily and doesn't cause any leaks or issues with the fridge water or ice maker. I would recommend this to anyone trying not t o spend a ton of money on replacement filters.

Second time I’ve purchased these and construction/build quality and value for money is excellent. Water filtered absolutely fine and tastes as you’d expect.

Super Alternative zum Originalprodukt

Und das zum fast 1/2 Preis (47%). Filter kam versiegelt aus UK (Amazon direkt) und ist mit € 23,74 fast um die Hälfte günstiger als das Original von Samsung. Für mich ganz klar ein Versuch wert und ich wurde positiv überrascht. Der Filter lässt sich problemlos und wie das Original an der entsprechend dafür vorgesehenen Stelle im side by side einbauen, nichts tropft, alles dicht ( läuft seit knapp 3 Wochen bei mir) Den ersten 1 l Zapfen, damit die Luft entweichen kann und sich der Filter vollständig füllt, fertig. Keine qualitätseinbußen oder geschmackliche Änderung zum Original und das so viel preiswerter. Daher eine klare KAufempfehlung
