Makes pics easier
I love that it folds down for easy storage. Has an opening on top for when you need that angle. I use it to put my yard stick through when measuring a products height for eBay pics. Bought a second one for a family member who resells but was taking place cps then using an app to remove the background.

Great Little Studio!
I like the idea of the Studio Box. Very portable but spacious for small items. We will get a lot of use out of it. Couldn't be better. Setup was very easy too. No need for instructions, but checked to make sure everything was set correctly. Happy photographing!

Great for photos, power cord went out
I love this light box. I use it to take photos of pottery, mostly mugs in the 4-5” size range. It lights the products brightly and evenly. The led light strip is diffused, softening the shadows. The white background is easy to clean with a magic eraser and it looks smooth and seamless in photos. It’s quick and easy to fold up this light box to store when not in use and similarly easy to assemble. There are no parts to put together and stow away. It’s all self-contained, which I love. After a few years of regular use, the light stopped working. I assumed the bulbs burned out. After some trial and error I realized the bulbs weren’t bad, but the power cord was faulty and it appeared to have some corrosion. After replacing the power cord, I once again have a fully functioning light box that helps me take great product photos.

Not as good as it used to be
This is my second Amazon Basics Light box. The first one was astonishing quality for the price. This newer version I just received is not nearly as well made. The backdrop in the previous version was heavier, and hemmed on the edges. The new version is a much flimsier coated cloth and not hemmed. So far everything else functions the same.

updates: the light in this box looks too white and washed out. Maybe a sheer filter over the lights? Maybe a slightly different light color? I have to adjust each pic in a photo editing app. More light is needed. For 3D objects the sides aren’t well enough lit, especially the front if you use the box open. For jewelry there’s always a shadow because I have to take photos from above. I use my phone more than half the time to take pics to send to customers. I’m working to tweak the box but the designers can do better. This box is much better than others I’ve used. Keep trying. This design has promise. My original review: This photo cube is a great advance from all other cubes I've used. It's well designed but has a few flaws that can easily be fixed in future versions. Designers of this cube please please read my comments. I look forward to buying the next one you bring out using my notes. I photograph jewelry. I'd like an additional size offered, I need a box that is about 18" x 18". I'd like one extra light in the box, I'd like an easy to reach on/off switch for a longer term set up, and I'd like to see the main light not be positioned near the front of the box where the camera will create a shadow while taking pics of flat objects laid out on the box floor. Another option would be to offer extra lights that could be simply plugged into an outlet for in the box and hung with velcro already mounted in the box for these lights deigned just for these boxes. That said, I'm very pleased with the set up and take down of this box, it's beautifully functional in its popup capability. I've had other photo cubes that claim to be packable, but once they were taken out of their packaging they would never return to it nearly as well as they had been, and it was a pain to do. The box is perfection in this aspect, and close to perfection otherwise. If you're taking pics of 3D objects this should be exactly what you need. The lighting is true color. I photograph gemstones and color is very important. Previously I'd been using some fluorescent photo lights, despite being crazy bright and supposedly true color, and designed just for photography, they left me having to color adjust nearly every photo. Also this led box has corrected the issue I was having with yellow vertical lines showing up in my pics when I used white backgrounds. I believe they were caused by the RF of the fluorescent lights, not 100% certain on that, but the lines are gone so it was definitely the compact fluorescent bulbs. These are good LED's, I'm very impressed with them. My main complaint is that taking photos of jewelry requires that the photos taken from above which causes a shadow due to the placement of the main light in the box. Using the top hole in the box (also very well designed with a zipper) puts me too far from the items for phone pics, which is about half of my use of a photocube. I'm going to keep the box and add some extra lighting to avoid the shadow. I'm also going to await the next version of this box in hopes that the designers read my comments and give me what I need.

Good product, but...
Easy to set up and fold down to store. I was able to set it up on top of my jewelry-making supply cabinet, and since I didn't need to rig up lights, etc. it enables me to have a portable product photo studio in one relatively small corner of my workshop. I can't emphasize enough how helpful that is. Now with the cons: it has one light strip across the front ceiling and one along the left side. I read a lot of reviews about this product that mention this and the fact that one side of the box is always in shadow. It's true, and I've tried every camera setting I know of to counter that, even used photo-enhancing software, but nothing ever really works 100%. I purchased a Trekoo 2 LED Light strip set to compensate. Amazon sells them for $15.99, and I highly recommend you just go ahead and buy it at the same time you buy this lightbox. It's basically two LED light strips with a connecting cord between them, and then USB connector cables at one end for a power source. They have peel & stick backs, so I just placed them side by side in the exact spot the light strip on the opposite side is located. I ran the cord through the opening in the top of the box, and sat a power strip with 3 USB ports on top of the box. This also enables me to keep the lightbox plugged in at all times (it has no on/off switch) and I can now turn the lightbox on & off using the on/off switch located on the power strip. I have only taken a few test photos with the addition of the new LED light strip, but so far, I really like what I see. I am photographing jewelry, which can be very tricky unless you have really good lighting, and this seems to be a good solution thus far. Yes, I have the same issue with the crease in the backdrop, but I am shooting in macro from directly overhead, and it really isn't that much of an issue for me. I would recommend possibly taking it out and seeing if it could be smoothed out by hanging it up and *lightly* warming it with a heat gun. The backdrop material is like a heavy blackout vinyl window shade though, so direct heat would obviously be a bad idea. You can however, hang a nylon backdrop over it to cover the crease. I have not had any problems with the box collapsing, etc. and I have been using it for a year, and do occasionally lay lightweight items on top of it. Overall, I would say it's a good product, but it could use an extra built in light on the unlit side, an on/off switch so you don't have to unplug it to turn it off, and a better pack & ship solution for the backdrop that eliminates the inevitable crease.

I really really wanted to love this item. The setup is so easy. But I don't understand why there is only a light on the left side. There should be one on either side, and the top. Taking photos with your phone overtop of the items causes horrendous shadows, which are kinda frustrating. Adding a 3rd light would make a world of difference.

Quería esperarme un par de meses para poder dar una reseña Honesta: Vendedor - Altamente Recomendable Envío - En tiempo y Forma Producto - Muy fácil de usar, de excelente tamaño, precio relación calidad buena y muy útil. He sacado increíbles fotos con él para empresas e incluso para mí. Claro que la edición siempre es necesaria para que el fondo quede perfectamente blanco. sin embargo tengo 3 INCONVENIENTES QUE PODRÉ ACÁ ABAJO. PROS - Tamaño perfecto, Espacio suficiente, Fácil de montar y guardar, Fácil de Usar, Cómodo, Útil, Ligero, Portable, Buen material, CONTRAS - A pesar de que la iluminación es buena, no es suficiente ya que al solo estar en posición de "L" deja dos lados sin luz y esto genera un poco de sombra en los productos. CONTRAS - A pasar de que lo he cuidado mejor que a mí mismo no es tan resistente, una de las luces tiene un falso contacto que a veces llega a ser muy molesto. CONTRAS - Una vez que lo conectas haz tus fotos rápido, se tiene a calentar algo y eso puede perjudicar tu equipo. Es solo recomendación, me gustaría que tuviera un botón de prendido y apagado aunque estuviera conectado. EN GENERAL, considero que es un producto que toda persona que se dedique a tomar fotografía en fondo blanco debería tener. Sí es cierto que no es perfecto, pero de todos los que tienen en Amazon, estoy convencido de que es el mejor. Les dejo una muestra de las fotos que he tomado con el Saludos y a Disfrutar P.D. si hacen envíos a cdmx, México por si tenían duda P.D. pueden colocarle tela del color que quieran el fondo

Really enjoying this - but room for improvement
This photo box is amazing. It's much larger than expected and I use it in my etsy shop and for other photography. I love it. It does everything it says it will and is simple and foolproof to use. Two tiny things I don't like. 1. the place where the cord stores gets really hot when in use. I was keeping the manual in there because it's a perfect size, but I worry about fire risk during a long shoot. 2. this desperately needs an on-off switch. Because it gets so hot, I was constantly unplugging and plugging it in again while trying to set up the next item. Eventually, I hooked it up to a power bar and used the on-off switch on that, but it's still a pain. A switch would make this even better. On the whole, yes I like it. I would recommend this for people who sell stuff online or take print or web ready photos with minimal editing needs.

Awesome For Online Resellers!
It is very large and roomy for tall or wider items that are approx. 18 inches wide and 18 inches Tall. You could fit larger items up to 29 inches wide by 24 inch Tall but you will capture side seams and may even create shadows. I prefer to have no distractions so the focus is on the item with a smooth white background. It Collapses for travelling and even has a handle. I keep mine stationary so I cant review how it is for travelling. Comes with an opening on the top for downward shots which zips closed when not in use. The whole front panel flips up or keep it closed and there are 3 smaller panels that flip open on the front and can stay open with built in magnetic strips. I use this most as it bounces light better onto your item. Does not come with an on/off switch as it's just a plug so you would have to unplug it to turn it off, but I just keep it plugged into a power bar that has a switch and it works for me. Lights do not dimm but I find the lighting perfect for me and I photograph alot of different items. It does not come with other coloured backgrounds (only white) but you can find canvas in all different colours at fabric/craft stores (depending on your fabric store stock of course) or use any fabric you want or a large roll of paper cut to fit, backgrounds for photography will work. I only use white right now but will be purchasing black canvas for items that are white or clear. I Highly Recommend this Photo Light Box!
