It's just.. ok
I've puchased cave beds from other companies, and compared to them this bed is just.. meh. The padding is thinner and loses shape easily. The fabric is thinner overall. While well stitched, I don't expect this bed to hold up even a fraction of the time of others I've purchased. The zip off top is nice as it does allow easier washing or removal when not needed. However the hoop in the cave lip is thin really does nothing at all. I've yet to find an opening where I can replace that hoop with something better, so I suspect it's fully stitched in. The dog using the bed is experienced with getting into cave beds and under plain old blankets, but this design seems to make getting into it more difficult... Finally... the dog hates it. When given the choice of the old brand and Amazon's he consistently chooses the old brand (new or old bed).

Puppy LOVES this bed
Okay I just want to say my puppy absolutely loves this bed. She Burrows in it every night. It's soft and comfy and stays up for her to get into

My pugs love it!
My dogs love to bury themselves under the covers in my bed at night. But during the day when I’m at work, they will bury themselves in blankets in the couch. They live this little cave. My pugs are 12 and 14lbs…they can both fit in it, but the bigger one is usually in it solo as I leave for work in the morning. It has been well used since it arrived.

Wish the hood was a bit longer!
I already have a cozy cave for my 50 lbs Vizsla and I got this for him for my little home so he can burrow in it during the night. It's amazing quality and value, right on Amazon!!!! I just wish there was one more size bigger and the hood was a tad longer over the pillow area. Otherwise I'm super happy and so is my Zephyr!

UPDATED REVIEW: 1st one, disappointed. 2nd one- no problems! .
My first review of this product was a 1-star review. I bought this bed for my Labrador after reading some great reviews on it. However, within the first 2 hours he had discovered the plastic rod ends in the cave cover and chewed one end to get the plastic rod out. I scolded him and patched it up put the rod back in. We have had the bed for 4 days now and he seems to absolutely love it, but this morning I saw that in his attempt chew the other end of the plastic rod, he had tugged it hard enough that it ripped apart the zipper seam which then opened up the side of the bed and all the fluffing was visible. He had this thing all over the house! I am extremely disappointed that the construction is so flimsy and not durable enough to withstand a dog tugging at it. You can see that it is just a single stitch seam. There is no reinforcement to this whatsoever. I do not recommend it for any large breed dog that may be tempted by the plastic rod. If I were to get a replacement bed I would take the plastic rod out immediately so it is not a temptation. I am still in shock that this was destroyed so quickly. UPDATED REVIEW: Amazon replaced this bed for us and I haven't put the zippered 'cave' top on it. He hasn't tried chewing this one at all so it's holding up. It also goes through the washer and dryer just fine (cover only). I'm happy with the product now. I bought it for our cold winters, but so far it hasn't been cold so we haven't needed to put the top on.

Tag says Do Not Wash, Do Not Dry Clean, Do Not Bleach... how to clean it then???
Its not as good as the more expensive ones out there as far as softness and support but the tag says you cant clean it. Why??? My dog gets dirty. Its a dog! Is this a miss print on the label? I saw some fall out of the fabric the first couple of weeks but no so much anymore.

Perfect for my pooch
I bought the medium which is huge for my chihuahua she is only 18 weeks old so it will last her. She loves to burrow and sleeps so much better when she does so I searched for cave beds, this one had good reviews so I gave it a shot and glad I did! There is a wire in the hood which allows it to stay slightly up, I wanted one that wasn’t held open permanently so she can use her nose to get right under and feel safe and warm, whilst also having the option of sleeping on the none covered but when she gets hot. Really well made and the base is well padded!

Value 4 money
This is fantastic value for money ive been looking for a cave bed 4 a while. I have a 26kg staffy who lives like a lord and feels the cold. The price is fantastic dont look any further I just couldnt justify the costs of others some three times as much. Had to wash after a day due to mashed in biscuits. My dogs favorite bed
I'm ashamed to say that my dog has more beds than I can count. OK, let me try then, I think it might be eight, or maybe nine. Anyway, this bed is her favorite, and especially when it's cold. I initially thought the canopy was too floppy, but she actually loves to slide into the gap and all we see is her snout sticking out as she is snuggled into her nest. If it's very cold, we slide a blanket in there with her. Sometimes she'll push so hard into the canopy that she'll tip the bed up like a motorcycle doing a wheelie. Delighted that we got this for her.

Irresistibly snuggly
I can't say I have personal experience of this bed (not actually been able to get near it as the dog monopolises it) BUT the dog is irresistibly drawn to it and once in, is there for the duration without moving. It looks so darn comfortable I wish they did a human version! Large size has plenty of space for my whippet and he'll even choose this over the sofa. Great value for money and looks as if it will be easy to wash the covers as there are zips aplenty.

Fab bed for dogs who don't chew them
Instant hit. The boy loves it. Gets in not only to have a snooze but to play in comfort with his toys, kick the non disappearing covers (can't do that with an unsecured blanket) and generally gloat that he has this but we won't fit in it... Excellent value for the money, looks comfortable and perfect for a 9kg small/medium dog to sprawl out on or curl up in. Our dog doesn't really chew fabric so it's going to last. I'd imagine if you have a dog with a fabric or stuffing fetish, it wouldn't be more than a five minute wonder. Very happy fella here though who can tuck himself in intuitively when his folks refuse to put the heating on... ????
